Oh you know it’s a whole roasted duck and the 1st way of eating it is you eat the skin and put it on some kind of Chinese egg roll with hoisin sauce? The 2nd way is the meat with veggies on lettuce and the third way is the rice. Alice explained. It’s Bettes favorite

Oh sounds interesting. Ok we can get that. Dana? Shane said.

Ok let’s try that. Dana said and made their orders.

So what do you guys plan to do after dinner? Shane asked.

I dont know how about we go to milk? Dana suggested. The girls started eating when their order started to arrive.

I thought you said we’re going to watch a movie tonight? Bette asked Alice as she reached for the egg roll and duck skin.

Oh you got a date, Al? Shane teased Alice. Alice kicked Shane underneath the table.

***** did you have to do that, Al? Shane said, rubbing her shin.

It’s not a date! Actually, I rented DVDs and was about to ask you guys to watch it with us at Bette’s place Alice said.

I think you intended to watch the DVDs with just Bette, not us Shane said, winking at Alice.

Alice kicked Shane under the table again. Shane winced in pain.

Shut up Shane Alice said.

It’s ok Al. Me and Shane can go together tonight.

So, Al what are you and Bette going to watch tonight? Dana asked.

Dana! Youre going to watch with us! And besides, Shanes just going to leave you there alone! Alice glared at her.

No it’s ok Al. I dont really feel like watching a movie. After coming out, I feel like I want to expose myself more. You know, show who I really am. Not just some ***** tennis player in Subaru ad. Dana said.

Ooh I’m impressed Dana. I can help you out there. Shane said

Really? I don’t have enough confidence yet to approach a girl but yea help me please Dana said, giving Shanes hand a squeeze.

So what DVDs did you rent? Dana asked Alice.

Oh you know Chick films My best friends wedding, Accidentally in love, Aphrodite, Gigli and um Amber Bensons Chance Alice said, as she takes a bite of her egg rolled peking duck.

Interesting Shane said, as she ponders on all of Alices choices of movies.

Yea Wonder if Bette could understand what youre trying to tell her Ow! Dana said, glaring at Alice who just pinched her thigh. They all looked at Bette who was silently enjoying her food.

Bette? Shane said, looking at Bette.

Bette? Shane called her again but no response.

Bette, are you with us? Alice said, placing her hand on Bettes thigh to get her attention.

Hmm? Bette looked up at everyone.

Oh I’m sorry. I didnt have breakfast and lunch. Was I hogging all the food?

Oh you weren’t. Go ahead and eat. We were just wondering where you went Alice said, as she fed Bette some duck meat and placed some food on Bette’s plate.

Shane and Dana’s jaws dropped when they saw what Alice was doing.

When the cats away, the mice will play Shane whispered to Dana, who giggled at Shanes comment.

Bette’s usually like this when it comes to Peking ducks Alice said

Oh yea Dana and Shane said at the same time.

Al? Shane said, while looking at Bette.

What? Alice said

Be careful Shane said.

Alice knew what Shane meant.
