Unusual Meeting – Chapter 19
“You okay? You look extra sweaty today” Tina told her as she handed her a bottle of water from the fridge.
“I’m fine. I ran a little harder today. I was trying to run off the frustrations of the past few days” Bette answered her honestly.
“Did you have any plans for today baby?”
“Not really, just spend time with you. Why?” Bette questioned.
“Judy called while you were running. She said she and Mike are going to the ‘Trade Days’ in the next county. They want us to go with them.”
“Do you want to go?” Bette asked her.
“Yeah, the way Judy explained it, it sounds like fun.”
“Ok, I guess that’s our plan for the day” Bette agreed.
“Good, why don’t you shower and I’ll whip up something for breakfast, ok?”
“Sure babe” Bette kissed her cheek and headed to the shower. This is great, a day away from my phone and my house, no interruptions from the psycho. Bette smiled to herself as she walked into the bedroom.
An hour later, they were on their way. Bette and Tina were in the back seat of Judy’s Tahoe. Judy was explaining to Tina more about the ‘Trade Days’. “It’s kind of a fair, a carnival and a flea market all in one.”
They made their way through the booths, food booths, game booths and almost anything you could ever want to buy. Mike tried a game similar to pool. Judy and Tina decided that throwing darts looked like fun. Bette, on the other hand, wanted something more challenging. She walked over to the rock climbing wall and surveyed its appearance.
“Have you ever tried that?” Tina asked.
“Nope, I always wanted to, but the time just didn’t seem right. Today, I think is my time.” Bette paid her money and strapped in the harness to begin.
“Good luck” Tina yelled as she began climbing.
Bette’s focus was all there and she reached the top, with little difficulty, to ring the bell.
“Yeah” Tina yelled as she began her descent.
Bette detached the belt and harness and made her way back to the group. “Is there ever anything you try that you’re not good at?” Tina questioned.

Awww such a cute and sweet chapter. lol@Judy telling Mike to give her his wallet.
The interaction between the “guys” at the fair was so funny! Really macho if you ask me… But again so typical! It cracked me up how Tina got all excited by the 100$ bill! I enjoy this story, they always seem to be doing lots of nice stuff (outside of the bedroom, I mean…). Who wouldn’t dream of a ride on a motorbike with Bette? Thanks for the post!
Minimal drama is alright with me! I prefer it when the girls are happy, and have an open communication, and understanding.
Giving up the wallets to the girls and Tina being surprised by the $100 bill was too funny! I hope they can work out the logistics and be together.
ldw, love this story but I didn’t know it was so close to home. I live a few miles from Dallas. Was this trades day place just happen to be Canton, Texas, sure sounds like it. Very interesting place. Love the way you are showcasing the girls and letting them have a normal life together, just the everyday things to get over.
nice to see that stephanie didn’t make an appearance…this chapter was cute and i think tina should move too…so what did tina buy with that 100$?
sweettttttttttttt
Thanks for posting…yeah…a chapter without stinky Stephanie. I am sure they will be living together real soon. The carnival scenes were too cute.
Awwwww Yeah LDW…can’t wait until you just take a bit more time and post so we can see what happens! I love your story and your writing!
Stephania is in for a world opf hurt.If she keeps messing with Tina girl. Love the wallet thing, and Bette was just going to give Tina her wallet.instead a 100dollar bill. they are so great together thanks
