    Dreaming

    Tina threw her head back as she downed another shot. She was standing at the bar alone, frequently glancing at the dance floor where her friends were laughing and moving to the bass of the music. After the news of Bettes future career plans, Tina didnt take the information extremely well. She tried to look pleased and happy, but remained subdued and withdrawn for the remainder of the dinner.

    What? Tina asked Bette, stunned that her assumption was correct.

    Im starting a new gallery here. Bette grinned. When Shane called about this reunion, I had already started planning this endeavor with my business partner, Gillian. We wanted to expand and I had already traveled to LA once to search for a place. I was surprised when Shane called but didnt say anything for a while. But… I just received a phone call last night from Gillian letting me know the building was officially ours now. And today, I wanted to surprise everyone.

    Tinas face was pale and ghost-like. Shane reached over to touch her arm and noticed it was cold and sweaty. Everyone waited for a response from her, trying to read her blank expression.

    Oh. My. God. Tina whispered. She stood, swaying until she caught herself. Her head felt dizzy and she needed some fresh air. I… I need to use the restroom. Excuse me.

    Tina, are you alright? Alice shouted at Tinas back as she walked quickly away. The only response she received was a small wave, though Tina didnt turn around.

    Whats up with her? Dana asked the others.

    I have no idea. Shes been acting really weird, though. Shane said.

    I thought shed be happy for me. Bette sighed. Why do you suppose she seemed so upset? This isnt affecting her in any way.

    Outside, Tina stood on the curb, debating whether or not she should just go back to the house. Bettes news tonight had completely thrown her off course and she felt like she didnt know up from down anymore. How could she go back inside and pretend like everything was fine when inside she was screaming? She took a deep breath and hugged herself, deciding to make her best effort in wanting to celebrate.

I think Tina is making plans to move to LA (the job interviews being the cause of all the professional clothes and appointments), and is now freaked out that there won’t be anything stopping her from reuniting with Bette (which is both what she really wants, and what she’s terrified of). I love this story!

    9. I simply just love this story, hopefully Tina has something up her sleeve that will bring B & T back together again. Perhaps a child nobody knows of. anyway don´t keep us in suspense and turmoil to long. We all want our favourite couple to be together again.

    17. i have a feeling the dissapearance of Tina has something to do with Tina trying to move to New York to be with Bette, which is why she’s upset with Bette’s news of moving to LA. Haha…just a wild guess. Thanks for the great chapter.
