Part Two

The Happy News…

 

Bette was swamped at the office when James came in and informed Bette that Tina was on line one for her. Bette nodded and answered the phone, "Hi, baby" she said in a not so enthusiastic tone. Tina replied, "Hi Bette, Baby can you try to make it home for Dinner Tonight?" Tina crossed her fingers. She knew Bette was busy whenever a show was close the opening but she really wanted to tell her the happy news. "Um, I’m very busy sweetie, It’s crazy here. All I can tell you is that I will do my best okay? Tina sighed "Okay" and Bette quickly said bye and hung up without giving Tina a chance to say goodbye.

 

Later tha day…..

 

When Tina saw Bette’s headlights in the driveway her heard began to race with excitement and anticipation. She had set up dinner with candles and one extra dish and setting. When Bette opened the door she began grumbling about her horrible day. Then she noticed the extra plate and began complaining even more. "Oh! Tina you invited a guest. I’ve had a horrible day and the las thing I want is….." she froze when she spotted it. She slowly walked over to the plate and picked up the test. It red (+). She looked up at Tina with emotion filled, watery, brown eyes and rushed to her. She took her in her arms and began planting small kisses on her lips and muttering, "I love you", in between. Tina said "We are gonna have  our baby" Bette answered, " Yes we are" and she apologized for being such an asshole……
