Bette was nineteen when she accepted the scholarship granted to her to study at one of the university on the west coast. She became a part-time DJ at a very well known radio station. Bette felt she got the whole world in her hand. She was a beautiful young woman with promising feature in the musical industries. All these made her proud, so proud that she would not took any suggestions or advise from others except the very one person that she cared so much, her senior, Tina Kennard.

Tina got the job offer one year before Bette joined the station. They were put into the one group and Tina would be Bettes mentor. First time when Bette saw Tina at the radio station, she knew Tina would be the one and the only woman that she loves to spend the rest of her life with. Bette is falling head over heel for Tina. But there was one problem; Bette knew that Tina already had a boy friend. She never met this guy and would never want to. She could not imagine how she would react when she saw him. Everyday, she was eaten alive by her jealously.

Bette did everything she can to get close to Tina. Bette will choose the recording studio next to Tinas. Looking at her through the tick glasses, Bette would memorized every movement made by Tina. Bette would bring her coffee every time with their recording session together; share with her the newest CDs that Bette liked. But Tina never noticed the affection from Bette, in fact, Tina treated Bette coldly. Even as Bettes mentor, Tina never really teaches Bette anything at all!

Finally on one of those recording session together, Tina was busy editing her own recording tape after she went through Bettes recording part. Bette was waiting, hoping Tina would say something. Minute past by, Tina never looked up and never spoken a word to Bette.

Why? Why wouldnt you teach me anything? Bette started.

Tina lift her head, looked at Bette slightly frustrated face and said, I have nothing to teach you.

You hate me, is that it?

No Tina answer shortly.

Then why are you ignoring me?! Bette acted like a little kid that wanted attention from the parents.

Come on Bette, youre not a little kid any more! Dont expect me to take care of you! Tina said with sarcastic voice.

You know how much I like you Tina, thats why you are ignoring me!

Tina wasnt in any mood to argue with Bette, she just said, First, I dont know that you like me. Second, why would I hate someone that likes me?
I will never understand you, Tina Kennard.

Tina cant stop laughing hearing this statement from Bette. And how much you know about me? Are you a therapist or something? Youre not even twenty.

You are just two years older than me

That meant Im an adult, legally, and you are not! You cant even buy a beer! With that, Tina gathered up her belonging and leave, leaving Bette alone in the recording studio.
