What Becomes of the Broken: Sharing is Caring?

"Peabody, you’re going to tell me everything right this instant!" Alice shouted as Helena walked through the door. She grunted and rolled her eyes at her blonde friend. She placed her things down on the counter and sat on the couch. Alice plopped down beside her, staring her down and hoping for some kind of answer to all of her questions regarding Bette and Helena.

"I have nothing to tell you. At least, not yet."

"What the wait for? Jesus, its not like I don’t know who you want to bang!"

"For Christ’s sake Alice, its not about banging or any of that nonsense. I’ve been there done that."

"Whoa! You mean you’ve had sex with Porter already?"

"Yes. Its been kind of off and on, a little tryst here and there, since Tina’s mixer."

"So, that’s why no one saw you two for like an hour, right?"

"Yes. We were in Henry’s pool house. I guess we both had some steam we needed to blow off."

"I don’t know about steam, but you two were blowing something, for sure."

Helena threw a pillow from the couch at Alice, "Shut up, Alice. You don’t know what’s going on."

"That’s what I’m trying to figure out. Do you love her?"

"I don’t know. It’s too soon to be figuring out love and the sort. I don’t think I do, at least."

"Well, do you like her at least? I mean other than the obvious sexual attraction?"

"Yeah. I mean, she’s sweet and so smart. I feel like I learn new things just by being around her, even if its just for the moment. She’s so…just so…"

"I know…incredible, astounding, amazing…all of those things that women say once they’ve gotten that Bette Porter lovin’." Helena slapped Alice’s legs, "Don’t be mad at me because it’s true. You’re totally sprung like a chicken."

"Oh, fuck off, Alice. I am not sprung."

"Yeah, you are, look at you! You sound like a schoolgirl. I’ll leave you out here to regroup and think and I promise you won’t end up on The Chart, okay?" Alice got up to leave.

"Wait, Alice? Can I borrow your car tonight?"

    "Again?! Why?"

    "I have a date."

"Oh God, whatever Helena. Take my car, and fill up my tank while you’re out." Alice scoffed, making her way out of the living room area, "Fucking Bette and how she makes women lovesick." She mumbled under her breath.

    1. i love how you have humanized helena. she was such a monster when we first met her. but in season 4, she was so sweet, and i could see her getting bette’s attention. but no, IC has to try to shove the bette and jodi pair down our throats. well rock on sister! show them what a real couple is!! great job.

    2. Helena has pretty much laid her cards on the table, she knows what and who she wants. Now all Bette has to do is turn them over and play. Great update!!

    3. Oh ash was so happy to come home right now and read your lastest chapter and loved it,,,,,,Love Al she knows them two all too well and how Helena said she didnt want to share Bette with others, great going ash!!

    4. Hello ashtuck, this story is just getting better and better. I absolutely love how you combine the story using elements from the show but adding your own unique touches. I especially love how you have Helena so confidant in how things will work themselves out… she is so perfect for Bette in that she can push her just enough to bring out the want and desire as opposed to the rage and fury :) Keep up the amazing work. PPS, Sincerely. Justin Cantelo
