    What if…

She reached out as far as she could ignoring the pain she felt in her back and slammed on the brakes to slow down the car as much as possible. With the handbrake together the car was able to slow down enough so that it wouldn’t blow up on contact. Still the car crashed hard against the tree and Tina had to lay her body over Bette’s to stop her from flying out of the car.

She felt glass all around her and smelled the gas almost instantly. "Shit! Shit!" Tina cried kicking the door opened. It flew open with a deafening creak and Tina gripped Bette’s body underneath her arms. She pulled Bette with all her strength groaning at the pain she felt in her back.

The glass had pierced her back all over and Tina felt her blood trickling down but Bette was in much worse condition. She had blood trickling down the side of her face, a large shard of glass was sticking out of her thigh, and her arm looked horribly broken.

Tina dragged Bette out of the car wincing when Bette body fell onto the floor with a loud thud. That must have broken something she was sure. The smell of gas was way stronger and she heard a loud hiss coming from the engine. She dragged Bette across the branches, twigs, and leaves of the tree as fast as she could.

When the car exploded they were far enough away to just feel the intense heat. The heatwave knocked Tina down on her back and she cried out feeling the glass pushing deeper into her back.

She pulled out her cellphone and quickly dialed 911.

The voice was crackled and barely audible, "91…emergency?"

"Hello? Please help!" Tina cried, "we had a car accident, our car went over a cliff!"

    "Ma’am…can’t…hear…"

"We were going up the Mountain! A truck hit us! A truck!"

    "Hollyw…mou…tain?"

    "Yes!" Tina cried.

    "Truck…called ambu…way," the operator said.

"Hurry please my girlfriend is really hurt!" Tina cried.

    "Stay still…on the…way."

The line went dead and Tina cried, "hello? Hello?"

She saw that her phone had died and curse aloud. She crawled painfully to Bette and started tapping her face.

"Bette," Tina sobbed, "please baby wake up."
