Finally! Everyone looked up, and there stood Alice. It was about time that the two of you hooked up. Ive never met a pair taking such a long time to get together. She said while walking over to the couple and giving them each a hug. Shane looked at her, laughing.

Well, except for you and Fairbanks here. She said, and all five of them laughed.

Yeah, well Its not my fault Dana played so hard to get. Alice chuckled, and sat down between Jenny and Dana.

Hey! Dana yelled and continued to laugh.

Alices attention then moved to Jenny and she noticed the tired expression behind the smile. Are you ok, Jenny? You look a little pale.

Yeah. Jenny hesitated before she continued. Ive had some problems, but Im gonna deal with them now. She said, slightly embarrassed. Dana and Alice looked at her with concern; Shane and Carmen avoided the stare. They knew what it was about. Alice broke the awkward silence, as always.

Let us know if theres anything we can do, alright Jenny? You dont have to tell us anything you dont want to. Were here for you. Alice said, feeling there was not the right time to push Jenny. After all, she didnt know her that well and it seemed serious. Right, baby? she said and gave Dana a demanding look.

Uh-hu. Dana responded and then felt a kick on her leg. Any time! she said, feeling the burning pain on her leg. Jenny smiled towards the couple.

Thanks you two. It actually means a lot. It means more than you can imagine. Jenny felt more positive than she had in months.

Is Kit still in the hospital? Dana asked. There was no sign of the woman in the club.

Nah, she went to get some champagne and cigars for us to celebrate. Shane grinned. But weve been waiting for a while now.

Really? Ill go look for her. Dana said. I just have to hit the ladies first. She walked off to the bathroom. The gang continued to chat about the new baby. Dana reached the bathroom door and went inside to do her business. Then she walked behind the counter to get to Kits office. She heard Kits voice from inside; apparently she was on the phone with someone. Dana was just about to knock when she heard a voice behind her.

Hi Dana. The voice was very familiar to Dana. She didnt even have to turn around to face the soup chef before she responded.
