    When New and Old Collide: Chapter 12

     

    Previously:

     

    Tina: “Bette, I have a lot to think about right now; do you mind if we get together later tonight?” “I promise that we will talk about everything, I just need some time. Ok?” she says hoping Bette will understand and that she will not try and force the issue right now. Tina knows she needs to figure out a way to tell Bette about Beth and she wants to be able to put it in the best way she can.

     

    Bette: “I guess that would be ok, but can you give me a time because I want to arrange my flight and I would like to do that tonight.” She says without thinking what it sounds like.

     

    Tina: “Great, we do not see you for years and the first chance you get you’re trying to get away again.” “Maybe it is best that your daughter doesn’t know you.”

                Bette did not know what to say. On one hand Tina did refer to Beth as her daughter and that made Bette happier than she ever thought she could be again; after everything that had happened with Tina. On the other hand Tina was freaking out she did not even give Bette a chance to finish her comment before she jumped down her throat.

     

    Bette: “Tina if you would just give me a chance to speak and finish my sentence you would have heard me say that

     

    Tina: “That what? I am right and you just can’t wait to get out of here. Save it Bette, I will not let you hurt me again and I definitely will not let you hurt Bethy. Now please leave.

     

    Bette: “Tina will you please just listen to me for a second. I am not leaving. I am going to arrange my flight for next weekend that way it will give us some time to talk and to figure a few things out. I am sorry it came out wrong I was just talking before I fully had it processed, you know I have to process before I talk.” She says trying to get Tina to remember that they did know a lot about each other.

    5. Thank you so much for this update. Now I want more so get back to work. Just Kidding. I wonder if that was Bette who heard the tail end of the convo or Jamie. 9 times out of 10 it was probably Jamie. Don’t keep us waiting long.

    6. i completely agree with CR you have a lot you chapters to write..quit of your job to you have time to write for us..lol..ok..please tell me they will find each other again..give me hope to still believe in their love ok?..great chapter cant wait for the next :o)
