“Just take me back to the office….”
“Tina…I just wanted you to know what I had seen..”
“*****, u could’ve just told me…but you pulled me away from work to show me that

Eric has a doctor’s appointment…in which he told me about.. and this also proves

to me that he does have cancer…”
“Why would he go to an immunologist then? If he has cancer?”
“I don’t know Bette….but he told me about the appointment..”
“Did he ask u to go with him?”
“No..I told him that I would go with him…and he said that he would be okay…to

go alone…”
“Oh..ok….well…I guess they were talking to him about chemo then…” said Bette

sarcastically..
“Take me back to the office, Bette.”
I am going to show Tina one of these days…I will prove that he isn’t sick..he

is such a bullshiter, and everyone knows it…She just doesn’t see it yet…but, I

will show her…Bette drove Tina back to the office. Tina said nothing as she got

out of the car…obviously deep in thought….
Bette hollered out the window for Tina…
Tina stopped and turned around….”What?” she asked hatefully..
“Will you be coming home soon?”
“No…I’ve got dinner with Eric…”
“Okay…well, I’ll see u later, I guess..”
“Yea, I guess..” said Tina as she turned and walked away towards the office…
Bette went on home and settled on the sofa with a book and a cup of

tea….before she knew it, Tina was waking her up…telling her to go to bed..
“Ummm…” she yawned..”What time is it?”
“2:30..” answered Tina..
“Damn..that must’ve been some dinner…” said Bette..
“Don’t start with me Bette…”
“***** It..u are such an idiot…” and Bette got up to go to bed..she stripped her

shirt and shorts off..then piled under the covers pulling them over her

head..drifting off to sleep..
Bette had been sleeping good for a couple of hours, when there was a tap on her shoulder…
“Bette…………Bette……..wake up…I need to talk to you…”
Bette woke up slowly, then sat up…”damn Tina..I’ve only been asleep for a couple of hours..what now?”asked Bette looking at the bedside clock

noticing the time..
“I just need to talk to you…for a few minutes, and then you can go back to

sleep…if you can…I know I won’t be able to..”
“What’s the problem?” asked Bette groggily..
“well, I talked to Eric…….” and Tina stopped…she stood up and walked to

dresser and looked into the mirror…
“And?”
“And he found out that he is HIV postive…Bette…he has the virus…not

cancer…” Tina broke down into sobs…..
