“You what, Tina? You forgot to tell me that you had seen Eric a few days ago…and then you fucked him?” yelled Bette loudly.
“No…Bette…” said Tina as she sat in the chair next to her wife.”I swear..”
“Just ***** shut up….” said Bette as she stood and looked at the water in the pool…there was a few minutes of silence..”Look…” she said as she turned to look at Tina…”You have 2 choices…you can tell me what’s going on or I can walk out that front door and never look back…..I don’t want to do that….I love you with all of my heart…but I cannot deal with being lied to….”
Bette stood and stared at Tina for 5 or 10 minutes…and there was nothing…but Tina looking at the patio floor…tears streaming down both of their faces….Bette decided not to wait any longer as Tina had answered all of the questions by saying nothing at all..she turned to walk towards the patio door….
“B…Bette…” said Tina through the tears….”Don’t leave me…please….”
“Then you really need to tell me what the ***** is going on here….I mean, I get a letter given to me that is written by you to Eric…someone that hasn’t even come into our conversations for 7 years…then I come home and talk to jenny…who wants to make sure that it is okay that she took a few of the roses out of the garbage can outside our house…and that you had just gotten home….then I walk in and you are coming out of the shower…what the ***** am I suppose to think? I mean come on…”
“Bette, please…come and sit down…I will explain everything…”
“I feel more comfortable standing….”
“No…please….just come sit…” said Tina…
“Fine..” and Bette plopped heavily down onto the stretch out lawn chair….Tina stood and walked over to the chair and sat in the middle of it…grabbing Bette’s hands into hers…
“Baby.

“Baby…I love you…I have never loved anyone like I love you…” said Tina through the tears….”I didn’t tell you that I ran into Eric the other day…because I didn’t want you to worry..”
“Or you didn’t want me to know what you did with him….” said Bette.
“Babe please..let me finish….he invited me out to lunch with him…just to talk..”
“And you fucked him..”
“Goddamit Bette….quit trying to finish my sentences…’
“See T…that’s one thing that you are not realizing….I can finish your sentences…because I know what you are thinking…”
Tina looked down to the patio again…”Bette…baby….I love you soo much…”
“Keep going…I won’t finish your sentences anymore….” said Bette as the tears fell down her cheeks…she already knew what Tina was going to say..
“Anyway, he and I had lunch together…” There was silence….
“And..” said Bette gritting her teeth at what she knew she was about to hear….
“And we went back to his hotel room…”
“*****…” said Bette as she sobbed…”for what? or should I even ask?”
“He asked me back there for a few drinks…’
“They didn’t serve ***** drinks where you two ate lunch at?”
“I had no intentions….” Tina started to say before Bette interrupted her…
“But you know that he is a man….goddammit T….all men think alike….he wanted to get into your pants….he took you there to get a few drinks into you so that he could take advantage of you….”Tina sobbed loudly…”I’m so sorry Bette…I swear…I didn’t mean for anything to happen…’
“But it did…”

yelled Bette….”I cannot ***** believe this…I have to get out of here for a while…”
“Where are you going?” asked Tina through the tears…
“I don’t know…but I have one last question before I go…”
“Yes?”
“Did you two use protection?”
Tina sat there and said nothing…………………………………………………………………..
“Oh my ***** god….How can you be sooooo stupid, Tina? *****….Oh my god…I have to go…” said Bette as she swooped her hand across the table of plants knocking them all shattering to the ground……”Goddammit…***** *****…” she said as she walked through the house and out the front…
Tina sat there and sobbed…listening to Bette start the car and squeel the tires leaving….
