Weeks went by, and Bette had finally managed to talk Tina into a second opinion.They were off to another doctoran HIV specialist.this time to get the answers to their questions.Tina had already been there the week before, to get the blood work done.and when she had walked inthere were all sorts of people there from all types of descents. Tina was floored at the amount of people with HIVbut some of them she couldnt tell if they were positive or not
Bette and Tina arrived and walked into the office.they decided that they wouldnt tell anyone else until after todays appointment.they wanted to make sure.and Bette made no attempt to let Tina know that she had already told Kit.she didnt want to make things worse.and Kit had made it a point to stop by.but she acted no differently
Tina Kennard.. said the nurse when she opened the door.. Tina turned to Betteand Bette took charge of everything…this is what Tina needed right now..for her wife to take charge and to be the strong one Come on, babe.. said Bette as she grabbed Tinas hand and pulled her up.. Its okay. I am here with you.
Thank God.. said Tina as she followed Bette and the nurse down the hall and into the room where they would be waiting for the doctor.inside, they both took a seat.and waited..in silence..until the door opened. Miss Kennard.. said the doctor as he walked in..
Dr. Jones.. said Tinaand Bette together.
Okay, Miss Kennard the doc started, You came in here and wanted a second opinion blood testto which we did.
There was a silence.as Bette crossed her finger, closed her eyes, and began to pray

Excuse mestop said Tina as she held her hand up.. Did you just say mix-up?

Tina turned to Bette.. There was a mix-up.. she shouted..
I know.. said Bette as she grabbed her wife and pulled her into her arms.. I told youthat there couldve been a mix up..
Uh..um was the noise that came from the doctors throat, trying to get their attention.
Bette and Tina stopped hugging, and turned to him with a great smile on their faces
As I was sayingI am not sure where the mix-up was.it couldve been the doctors office or it may have been at the place where the blood is testedbut the good news, Miss Kennard, is that you are not positive..you are 100% negative.
Bette and Tina just sat and stared at each other. Baby.. said Bette See, god wants us to be togetherhe didnt try and take u away from me
