    Wine Vs. Whiskey

Dana smiles and shrugs. “Alice suggested we not bother you with such things…”

Tina lifts her brows. “Did she now?” She asks as she stands next to Dana with her hands on her hips, waiting for her to get the message that she wants to sit in her chair.

Dana swivels for a few more beats before she finally gets the point. “Oh. Shit, sorry…” She says sheepishly as she stands up.

Tina settles behind her desk as Dana walks around the desk and sits in one of the chairs.

Tina opens her laptop, its screen lighting her face. “So, what brings you by? Another tour?” she asks, fingertips dancing over the keyboard.

Dana stares at the floral carpet, voice trembling. “No. I—uh—actually want some advice.” She gulps, her eyes darting to Tina’s.

“Cool…about what?” Tina types one email, then glances up—and freezes. Her mouth falls open into a delighted gasp. She covers it with both hands. “Oh—are you about to propose to Lara?”

Dana’s eyes widen until they’re almost comical. “What? No! Why would you think that? Did she—did she say something? Did you talk to her?”

Tina’s smile fades. Her brow creases. “Uh…no? Sorry. It just seemed like you were gearing up to ask for proposal tips.”

Dana pinches the bridge of her nose. She leans back, gaze drifting to the ceiling tiles. “Well, I’m pretty sure Lara wants that… She’s been all different ever since Shane and Carmen got engaged.”

Tina snaps her laptop shut, the click echoing in the quiet. “Well, you guys have been together for a while…”

Dana shrugs, gaze dropping to the floor. Her shoulders lift in a quick, resigned shrug. “I know….”

Tina studies Dana for a beat. “So…. then you don’t wanna get married?”

Dana’s eyes fill with frustration. She slams her palm to her forehead. “I honestly don’t know…. I mean, I guess I don’t see a need for it….”

Tina gives Dana a sympathetic smile. “Well, unfortunately, sweetie, Lara may not feel that way….”

Dana flings her head back and groans, the sound bouncing off the walls. “This fucking sucks….”

Before Tina can respond, the door swings open and Dena strides in without knocking. “Hey bossy…”

Tina glares at the young woman. “You do realize that if the door is closed, you’re supposed to knock…you don’t just walk into my office, Dena…”

    1. I’ll wait forever for any updates of your stories.

Wine & Whiskey parties, I’m not fond of either of them but i would choose the Whiskey.

Glad that Bette will never ask Tina to take a step back due to Michelle’ threat. I hope Joyce will crush her if it should go to court.
I know Michelle is filled with jealousy but to threat to take their son away from Bette is not something she should have done.

Dana, one advise, talk with Lara and don’t act so cowardly. Be honest with your feelings about commitment, a marriage. Lara will appreciate that more than how you act like a chicken over this.

Thank you so much for this update!
