Robin “It’s going to be hard if Bette is still seeing whatshername.”

Alice “Candace?”

Alice shakes her head while Shane continues flipping through the magazine.

Alice “Fuck.”

Marina makes her way over.

Marina “Is something wrong with the coffee?”

Alice takes a sip of her coffee.

Alice “Nah, the coffee tastes awesome.  This fucking knitting is annoying the shit outta me though.”

Marina “I see Shane is still being rather quiet.”

Shane looks up.

Shane “Yeah?”

Alice “I think Shane’s still recovering from Cherie Jaffe Land.”

Shane rolls her eyes.

Shane “Everything’s fine, Marina.  Nothing’s changed, I’m still me.”

Alice “Ahhhhh, so you still live by the code.”

Robin “The code?”

Marina “Shane doesn’t do relationships.”

Robin “Oh.  Well that seems fine.  As long as you’re up front about it.  Otherwise, people can get hurt.”

Alice “Yeah, like Tina.”

In the midst of the conversation, only Marina has noticed Tonya walk up to the table, politely smiling at her.

Tonya “Silly, I’m Tonya, not Tina.”

Alice, Shane, and Robin all now notice Tonya who joins them, sitting beside Shane, across from Robin.

Marina “The usual, Tonya?”

Tonya “Yes, please, and whatever the brunch special is, I’m sure it’s very tasty coming from Miss Lara.”

Marina grins.

Marina “Of course.”

Marina gets the attention of one of the waiters, then proceeds to walk around, checking on various patrons.

Tonya “Good morning, ladies.”

Robin “Good morning.”

Tonya “I wanted to make sure I got here early enough.  Dana should be here soon.  She’s doing some exercises and I think jogging here.  So heads up, she may be a little sweaty, but please don’t hold it against her, okay?”

Shane “Yeah…sure.”

A waiter soon arrives with Tonya’s iced green tea as Dana walks in, full of sweat from all the exercise and jogging.

Dana “Hey you guys.”

Alice “Oh no, it’s Sweatzilla!”

Dana “Funny.”

Tonya stands from her seat, grabbing some napkins off the table.  She proceeds to wipe sweat from Dana’s forehead.

Tonya “Oh, look at you…all sweaty.  Isn’t it cute how she perspires so much?”

Dana “I wanna go in and say hi to Lara, but I’m so sweaty…don’t wanna contaminate the kitchen or anything.  ”

Dana laughs, leading to a few laughs from the others at the table.
