Things were not quite as stressful for Tina just a few nights before.  She was able to get a slurpee, thanks to Bette and all was well.  Bette would then head off to New York City and while Bette was away, Tina was now experiencing anxiety from a lady named Lei Ling, the boyfriend of Marcus Allenwood, the man who donated sperm for Bette and Tina’s pregnancy.

It all leads to a get-together at Bette and Tina’s with Bette still away and Tina suffering through the anxiety of dealing with Lei Ling.  It is Poker Night and what shall also become a sleepover for all involved.  Along with Tina, Alice, Shane, Dana, and Lara is also Lis, a lesbian identified man who is now dating Alice.  Also there is Marina as she continues to spend more time with the group of friends.  Kit also arrives.   Throughout the course of the evening, Marina cannot help but notice the overall mood.  She notices the anxiety Tina suffers through as a result of the Lei Ling situation.  She notices Alice and Lis, but makes no real notes of it to herself other than it just being another Alice relationship with Gabby Deveaux now out of the way.  She notices Kit being her supportive self of the group.  She notices Shane being Shane.  Most of all, she notices more smiling than normal for Dana, who is there with her girlfriend Lara.  She finds warmth in her friends being happy.  Also there is a sense of amusement in enjoying the conversation, especially as it involves the topic of Lis.

As Poker Night succumbs to the inevitable sleepover, Marina can overhear Dana and Lara talking and their attempt at some form of stealth sex, which soon everyone will notice.  As Kit clears her throat, bringing an abrupt end and Lara trying to contain her laughter at being caught, Marina suddenly senses trouble in Dana’s voice as she states, ”It’s not funny.”  While the others are busy trying to contain their own laughter, with the exception of Lis who appears to be sound asleep, Marina lies back in the chair and suddenly feels a sense of uneasiness, displacing the more positive vibe she had felt earlier in the evening out of Dana and Lara.  For now, she keeps this concern to herself.
