Tina was sitting in the lounge on the sofa with her feet pulled up and tucked in on the sofa, Jess and Carmen could see she’d been crying. Jess sat beside her pulling her into her arms.

“First Valentine’s Day in 28 years I’ve woke up and your Mama has been beside me” Tina admitted “I’m just being silly”

“No you’re not” Jess sighed

“You can share Valentine’s Day with us” Carmen smiled

“Actually I’ve made plans with my son; I promised him we’d do something nice, I don’t want you guys to lose out on a nice day”

“It’s just another day Mum, it’s all commercialised to make money” Jess said hugging Tina tighter

“I just really miss your Mama”

“I know” Jess kissed Tina’s head “But we all love you, the 5 of us hate seeing you upset”

“I know you do, I can’t help it at times, I try to hide it”

“Don’t hide it that’s the worst thing you can do, if you need to cry then cry it’s allowed” Carmen smiled

“I don’t like my children seeing me like this”

“Your children couldn’t care, they’d rather you were upset where we could cuddle you and make you feel better” Jess explained

Lisa walked into the lounge half asleep, she was unsure as to what was going on but resumed the position at the other side of Tina and cuddled in.

“I don’t know what’s wrong but I’m here, not quite awake you but I’m here” Lisa yawned

Carmen, Jess and Tina laughed.

“Mum’s just a bit sad because it’s Valentine’s Day and Mama’s not here” Jess explained

“You’re kidding” Lisa looked horrified “Oh my god I’m such a bad wife!”

Lisa jumped up “It’s fine Lisa he’s still asleep”

“You forgot didn’t you” Jess smirked at her sister

“It might have slipped my mind” Lisa panic’d

“Go get dressed and I’ll take you to the shops” Carmen laughed

Tina laughed at her daughter

“Sorry Mum, I shouldn’t be worried about me at the minute” Lisa sat back down and put her arm around Tina “Mama is an idiot but I can guarantee she’ll be feeling sad too even if she doesn’t have the guts to admit it”

“Lisa go get dressed” Tina laughed “I’m okay I promised”
