Bette watched Jodi storm off. The knot in the pit of her stomach intensified. “Where are you going?”
“To kill myself” Jodi raged.
“I can’t let you go” Bette stopped her. She knew how it sounded she didn’t want to lead her on she just wanted to bring down the anger that she could feel coming off the woman in waves. She worried that in this state Jodi might indeed hurt herself.
“You can’t let me go?” Jodi mocked her “can’t you make up your mind you just said you wanted to get rid of me?”
“I can’t let you go like this.” Bette replied firmly. She could tell that she had Jodi’s attention. She was desperate to back Jodi away from the cliff she seemed about to go over. “I’m going to fight for this relationship.” Bette continued. She had to end this conversation and give Jodi a chance to regroup she did not recognize the out of control woman before her. “I have to go to school for a couple of meetings” she said calmly as if she was speaking with a small scared child.
“Don’t” Jodi shouted “don’t manage me.” She could feel Bette trying to manipulate her and it was working, her anger was coming down. She needed her anger. She needed it to maintain her pride. “I’ll come with you.” The thoughts came as fast as the words. She was calmer but still angry. How dare Bette cheat on her? How date Bette leave her. “I’ll go with you” she continued regaining some measure of control of the situation and herself. “You have your meetings and I will wait for you. We will talk in a public place where I won’t want to embarrass myself.”
“Ok” Bette felt her shoulders relax. This could work. Jodi could calm down and they would be in a public place. She couldn’t dismiss her uneasiness she instinctively knew that Jodi was in a bad place and anything could happen.

Tina struggled to shake the sense of foreboding that drifted on the edge of her consciousness. She wanted to check in with Bette and at the same time wanted to give her the space and Jodi the respect of time to talk this out. She had been in Jodi’s shoes with the very same woman. She flirted with the idea of texting her; that would be unobtrusive yet supportive.

Hey Kelika, That was so tough going. Good to find out more of what might have happened when Bette and Tina got home. I do feel that Bette is hiding something important about Jodi from Tina. I don’t know how I feel about jodi and Bette and what happened in the end. Even though we saw Bette pull away, I think that jodi pulled away also. jodi never really gave in the relationship except towards the end. I have no clue why ic tried to push jodi’s friendship with the gang because we never saw them interact. Alice never spent anytime with her or with Bette and jodi. She was with Shane and Tina when not with Tasha. It was like ic trying to make us feel sorry for jodi. IMO she took Bette away from the gang and tried to push her into her group. When that did not work she got angry at Bette. I love your story and am looking forward to the next chapter.
Kelika, you filled in the hole that we were definitely missing after that episode. It was too short a scen with B & T for it to be satifying. We didn’t get to see them communicate which is what you gave us. I really feel that I.C. misses the boat with these two most of the time. Thank God JB and LuH have been the ones playing them.
Wish we could have seen this on the show. Jofie is dangerous.She will try to hurt Bettes career. Tina will be there to help find a legal way to stop this also to get to find out who is with Jodie.We saw Tom,Max and Shane. Why Shane???? thanks
