Years And Tears Later – Chapter Ten – PART 2/2

    Evening

Bette and I are sitting on the brunette’s sofa looking at some old movie on TV. Bette knows that tonight probably wouldn’t be the night that we reunited in a physical way with everything that happened. I called my son earlier to ask how he was doing and he seemed fine, thank God. Bette is still somewhat ashamed of her behavior, I notice she reacted pretty bad, she was so sorry. She knows it must have hurt me. The arm that is lying around my shoulders pulled me closer. I look at Bette and smiled sweetly at her. I place a soft kiss on Bette’s lips.

“I love you.” She says once again.

I grin. “I love you more.”

I giggle and begin to kiss Bette’s neck, softly and sweetly. Making Bette moan. When we both get the feeling that maybe there could happen more than cuddling tonight, there is a knock on the door. We break apart and Bette smiles apologetic to me and then walks to the door. She opens it and finds her daughter on her doorstep, crying her eyes out. She hugs her close.

“Tanisha, what’s wrong, ebnah?” Bette asks, I am surprised by the Arabic. It sounds so weird when Bette talks like that… I’m not used to it. But then again, it sounds so good when it comes out of her mouth… I think it’s kinda hot…

    “Scott…” She sobs. “W… we broke… up.”

Bette helps her daughter inside and closed the door, still holding her. “Oh, sweetheart, I’m so sorry. What happened?”

They sit down on the couch and I just watch them.

“He said that if… I couldn’t trust him… he was better off without me… Mom, I… I love him… I don’t… want to live… without him.” Tanisha cries and holds on to her mother for dear life.

Bette sighs. “Don’t talk like that, tefell. Talk to him tomorrow when everything is calmed down.”

Tanisha just cries and doesn’t react. Then, there is a knock on the door. Bette gives me a look and I go open the door. A young man is standing on the doorstep.

“Hi, I’m Scott. Is Tanisha here?” He asks.

“Yes, she’s here.” I answer. When Tanisha hears Scott’s voice, she looks at him and he looks back.

“I’m so sorry.” He says once she sees her. She stands up and walks over to him. Bette and I look at each other.

“I’m sorry to.” She says. They smile at each other and then Tanisha hugs him. “I love you.” She whispers in his ear and his face lights up.

“I love you to.” He tells her and then they kiss. I see Bette is smiling and I notice I am too. It’s just so sweet. “You want to go to my place?” He asks and she nods.

“Yeah.” She answers. They walk to the door and then Tanisha turns to her mother. “Bye, ummu.”

“Bye, ebnah.” Bette says back and then she disappears through the door. “Pff, what a day.” Bette says.

“Yeah…” I say. “Oh, Bette, do you know that you are so sexy when you talk Arabic… seriously.”

    She grins. “You think so?”

“I know so… Come on, I’m tired, can we go to sleep?”

“Yes, we can, habeebty” Bette grinned.

“I have no idea what you just called me but I don’t care. It sounds cool.” I say and giggle. She takes my hand. “I just called you sweetheart.” And then we walk to the bedroom.

    TBC.

    1.  I never thought of Arabic as a sexy language but it does sound cool to me. What ever floats Tina’s boat right? Thanks for the awesome update Silverlove.

    2. Well Tina she just called you “giraffe”. I’m kidding, somehow that line reminded me of some movie. Thanks Silverlove, this story is one of my favorites.
