When she entered the room she saw Tina lying in bed and holding her baby. Bette sat next to her and was stroking a strand out of Tina’s face. It was so good to see Tina and Bette like this again. They were looking so happy together, holding their little baby.
“Hey, you both”, Shane greeted the two mothers and closed the door. “Shane”, Tina smiled and winked her to come over. “She’s sleeping”, Bette whispered and looked at her daughter with loving eyes.
“How are you doing, Tina?” Shane asked quite, not to wake Angelica up.
“Im doing much better, thank you”, Tina answered and suggested Shane to sit down next to her.
“Hey, whats going on with you?”, Bette asked grinning.
“What do you mean?”, Shane asked back dumbfounded. “Your face is shining, Shane”, Tina grinned the same way at her like Bette. Shane hadn’t seen this wordless communication between Tina and Bette in a long time.
“Its Carmen, right?”, Bette asked knowingly. Shane blushed. “From where do you know that?”, Shane wanted to know a little bit confused.
“We know we hadn’t much time for you the past month, but we still recognize when our friend is in love, especially you”, Tina admitted smiling, trying to apologize, for the time she wasn’t there for Shane.
Remembering when they first met Shane. She was just a teenager, lost in the darkest place. And still everything Tina wanted to do is protect Shane from this place.
“Tina, Im fine. Don’t look at me like this.” Shane knew that look only too well. It once made her open up and let Tina, Bette and Alice in, to be her family.
“Its just so good to see you like that”, Bette helped Tina. “Everything will be alright now”, Tina said and looked amoroused into Bette’s eyes.
Shane dropped her face a little, which wasn’t overlooked by Bette. “Whats up?”, she asked immediately. “Oh no.nothing”, Shane wanted to deny that not everything was okay. “Shane, come on. Let us in again”, Bette tried to let Shane know that they are still there for her.
“Its justAlice and Dana fought and Jenny is away”, Shane admitted quietly. “Yeah, Alice and Dana argued a lot the last time”, Bette realised ruminatively.
“But why’s Jenny away? What happened?”, Tina asked surprised. “She seemed to have a lot of problems the last time and.I didnt realised how serious it was. Yesterday morning she sat at the bathroom floor cutting”, Shane told, with concern and guilt in her voice. “Oh, my god”, Tina said speechless. “When we came home from the hospital she made a long phone call. After the call she told me that she’ll go back to her parents for awhile, making a therapy. And yesterday evening she was already gone.” Shane hold her tears back.
“She’s strong, Shane. She’ll be alright”, Bette tried to make Shane feel better.
“Yeah..so enough bad news. I’ll leave you three alone now, before Angelica wakes up”, Shane said goodbye and looked smiling down at Angelica.
“Thanks for visiting me, Shane. I really appreciate that”, Tina thanked her.
“Don’t thank me, Tina. That’s a matter of course.” Tina gave her a last warm smile.
“Wait I’ll come with you. I need coffee. Do you want something too, baby?”, Bette asked her wife. “No, thank you”, Tina answered. “I’ll be back in a minute”, Bette said and first kissed Tina and then Angelica on the forehead.
Shane just stood smiling outside the room watching the happy family through the open door.
“What?”, Bette asked as she closed the door from the outside. “You three are just so ***** cute”, Shane answered. Bette blushed a little.
“So.are you both back together”, Shane asked carefully. “I think so”, Bette answered smiling. “It was just.when she came into the room yesterday, with Angelica in her arms..it was just likelike meeting her the first time again”, Bette said with tears of joy in her eyes.
“Im really happy for you”, Shane just said simply. “I know, Shane”, Bette gave Shane a hug. “See ya, and take care of your family”, Shane grinned and made her way to leave the hospital.

As Shane entered the house she really felt like coming home. It was warm inside, the smell of cooked food came into her nose and her beautiful women leaned against the fridge watching her come in.
“I almost thought you were lost somewhere out there”, Carmen said laughing. “Im sorry, but this two clients called me right after another and I just can’t drop jobs like this”, Shane explained and reached Carmen.
“Hey”, Shane whispered, laid her hands on Carmen’s hips and pulled her close. “I missed you”, Carmen sighed in Shanes shoulder and pressed her body close to her lover. Shane looked at her with loving eyes. “I missed you too.”
“How is Tina?”, Carmen asked. “Tina is doing much better.
She still looked a little exhausted, but good. Actually all three of them looked great. They are really ***** happy”, Shane told and stroke with her hand trough Carmens soft hair.
“That’s good to hear”, Carmen closed her eyes enjoying Shanes touches.
“And how is Alice doing?” “I don’t know. She looked like she hadn’t slept the last nights and she was in a hurry because she was on her way to Dana.”
“They’ll make it out”, Carmen said and leaned even more into Shanes arms. “I hope that..Jenny didnt call, right?”, Shane asked and changed to the next problem child. “No, she didnt. She’ll call, if she thinks its the right time. Give her just some time, to figure her problems out”, Carmen tried to calm Shane down and stroke her face softly. Shane just nodded.
“I cooked something. I’ll warm it up for us”, Carmen said and wanted to move but Shane held her close. “You made dinner for us?”, Shane asked even she already knew from the smell. “Yeah, I thought we could eat together”, Carmen meant, a little afraid that this little gesture was too much for Shane and would scare her away.
Shane just leaned down to Carmens face and kissed her long and fondly. “Gosh.what was that for?”, Carmen asked breathless. Shane just smiled thankfully and caressed Carmens neck. Carmen let out a moan that made Shane shiver.
“Aren’t you hungry”, Carmen tried to asked between another groan. “I am hungry”, Shane grinned and guided Carmen to her bedroom.
