    I want to talk to you.

    While all is going on outside Bette and Tina was in the kitchen helping with the Christmas dinner for the next day. Lynn was instructing and Grams was supervising while stringing beans and sampling their work.

    On there way back, Joe had Russell to drop his at the house so he could get more coffee. Wants Joe see’s cookies he get side tract. Then a little while later Russell comes in back door.

    There you are, what’s taking you so long?

    Nothing just getting some coffee.

    Yea well there’s some of that nothing in your mustache. All the lady’s laugh.

    Russell goes on through the kitchen. Joe grabs another cookie kissing Tina on the cheek, thank you. there really good. leaves to go back out side, Russell comes back through minutes later, with a shirt in his hand.

    What’s the matter some one slip again? Lynn ask

    No Tom Thought he could ride blacky and he was thrown and needs a clean shirt. did Dad go back out?

    Oh God is he all right? she asks

    Yea he’ll be fine Mom, It saw his fault he got hurt, He’ll live.

    Yes Russell Dad left cause you busted him but not before thanking another one! Russell leans over and takes two and winks at Bette. Russell leaves to go back out.

    Lynn stands looking out side to see if she can see Tom anywhere. Now Lynn you know them Boy’s just horse playing as usual let it be. Gram;s tells her. Lynn looks over and knows she right. and goes back the her sweet pot. peeling.

    Janie and Carrie had left to go pick up Erin and little Russ Who had been at Janie’s parents, which had them all week for the holiday’s.

    Gram’s! you have eaten a cookie off every sheet we bring from the oven, They where out of the same batch so there all going to taste the same.

    Oh well you didn’t tell me that…  Gram’s looks at Bette  and winks causing Bette to grin, but abruptly look down when Tina looked her way.

    Maw your going to get sick, stop sampling!

    See what you done? you got me in trouble. Tina couldn’t help but laugh.

    Janie  and Carrie pulls in and Russ and Erin come running in first. Aunt Tina! they run and grab her from behind.

    13. Hey BnTinmyhead, That was great.Firstly how adorable was Bette with the kids. She will make such a good Mom.Then Tom and Joe’s heart to heart was really sad reading. Tom is recovering from his beating at his brother’s hand and now has his father’s disappointment to deal with.What was good was Joe’s acceptance of his son.

Awesome that he just got on with it and didn’t say a word.I hope that Tom takes courage from this chat and tells his Mom everything.
