Erin comes in carrying her new Dora the explore coloring book and crayons. You want to color wiff me.
Bette turns hearing her asking. sure. she turns and sits. scooping Erin up sitting her down beside her. Lets see what you got. Dora the explore, Friend of your? she says smiling at Erin.
No, It’s a cartoon silly….. Talking like this reminded her of Tina. …Watch. she reaches over and takes the remote and changes the tv from the parade that Gram’s had it on to the Nick channel and there it was Dora.
Oh wow, Bette says Ok. Erin settles back beside Bette. she flips the pages and says here you do this side and I will do this side.
Ok, sound fair. so they do just that as they watch her on the tv, after a while, Gram’s snorts and Erin covers her mouth and giggles. Bette finding this so cute. That giggle was for sure a Tina giggle. and couldn’t help but giggle to.
Tina looked in the window wondering where Bette had disappeared to. Seeing her and Erin sitting together coloring and giggling about some thing. and thought the two were so adorable together.
Inside Bette sighed her name to her picture. Erin watched, What are you doing?
Sighing my name, an artist always sighs there name on there work.
I want to but I don’t know how.
Here I’ll help you. With Erin holding the crayon and Bette’s hand over top she sighs her name with Bette slowly saying it as they write it. Erin….. Kennard. …there. Erin smiles thinking this was so cool.
You want to color another one?
Ok Bette says. They do and a few more each sighing there names to them. Tina and Russ have ventured off the porch for a snow ball fight . bout an hour and a half later they come in, needing hot chocolate to warm them. They come in the front door to find Bette and Erin fast a sleep on the couch with coloring book on top of Bette and a crayon in Erin’s hand Tina picks up the book and looks at there work smiling at the names and smiley faces they had drawn on the inside cover. She pried the crayon out of her hand and covers them up. Russ whispers GIRL!
Tina giggles and as they go to the kitchen Tina looks back over her shoulder smiling wishing it was there child Bette was curled up a sleep with. She had wanted kids since Russ had came along, Then Erin a little curly haired blonde. Cute as a button came a long and tugged at her womb more. and as her thirtieth birthday had come and gone thinking she was never going to get her dream. Now Bette has given her a glimpse of that dream back.

BnT, such a good chapter. Buggsy knows I’m just a sucker for Bette and the kids – as well as a sucker for other things, especially when cool whip is involved. LOL! Alright enough. Buggsy, I know you think I’m mean but it’s really just tough love. But to make you happy, we’ll talk about how I can make it up to you later.
In the South and on the East coast is more of a Sweet potatoe pie thing, rather than a pumpkin pie. I loved Tina’s reaction to seeing Bette and little Erin, but they are still too early in thier relationship for kids. I have been reading, but a little under the weather. PPS :o).

The story is still a great read. Tom got what was coming to him. I love how the kids have taken to Bette as well. The Christmas time was just amazing, nothing like family being together and is there for one another.
