Yes you can be, but I have a feeling I haven’t experienced fully what Peggy is getting at just yet.

Bette Doesn’t say much after that. They get a cab head back to the hotel stop by the front desk and have someone help them with the things they needed mailed out to Alice. And retrieve a message from her at the desk, Saying “ This is just so wrong Porter” Not really understanding why she insists on calling the hotel instead of Bette’s cell. Just for the sheer embarrassment they guessed.

They head upstairs and take a shower from the hot sticky day, it had been humid all day but was starting to cool down a bit. Tina notices Bette not as talkative as usual just when Tina would ask something and when she told her about what Tim had said about the fiesta outside later, she just said that’s nice we should go. She seemed to be miles away.

Bette what’s going on? Tina asks standing in the door way.

Tina walks out to Bette on the balcony who is staring out at sea, Bette puts her leg down that she had propped up into her chair and her arm around holding it, So Tina could sit. Then Bette turns and gestures for her to set in her lap. Tina does and takes a strand of Bette’s hair and tucks it behind her ear. Baby what’s wrong?
