No that wasn’t but the conversation we had was.

Bette tells Tina the conversation and cries some more in doing so, Tina was wet eyed herself. Telling Tina her revelation about her Mom seemed to calm her soul and dropped some old feelings she even had for her father. Seeing her mother’s side and hearing her speak her feelings lifted Bette’s inner self  and some walls she still had built up had come down. Ready to let Tina in past were they stood. She told Tina everything her father had ever said to her, hurtful things, and that he tried to bend her to his will even at a young age but even Melvin hadn’t anticipated Bette being so strong willed as himself which proved to be impossible for him to overcome.

Tina had listened holding one of Bette’s hands. Wow he sounds like a piece of work. Sorry I know he was your father.

He had his good qualities but the bad outweighed it in my book.

Like what?

Well his foundations for one, they provide help to many charities like the Ronald McDonald House, multiple cancer organizations both here and abroad. And so many others.

But why be so generous and yet be so abrasive towards his own daughter.

Prestige baby, he liked people looking up to him. Even if he did it for all the wrong reasons it helps so many people and I want to keep them going.

I can fully understand that too baby. You have a great heart, a heart I feel so privileged to know. Tina leans in kissing Bette so gently on the lips. Bette takes it and returns the love she feels on Tina’s lips. It turns more passionate with Tina climbing into Bette’s lap.

Bette leans to the corner of the couch enjoying the feeling of Tina’s body on hers. mmmmmm  then there was a knock. Bringing them back to the real world outside their bubble. They pull back looking at each other. I love you woman with all my heart. Bette says in a whisper while touching Tina’s face.

Mmmmmm and I so love you baby, kissing Bette one more time getting up off her lap. Pulling Bette up with her.

Bette goes to the door. Yes James.

Oh so sorry Bette but your two o’clock has just arrived do you need me to reschedule?

Oh no I’ll take it just give me a minute. Get me some coffee will you please.

He leaves then she turns to Tina. sorry but when I’m finished with him I’ll be done for the day, how about you?

I can be ready whenever you are.

Ok great, about an hour then?. she looks over at her clock. Maybe we could go somewhere for dinner.

Sure, she gives Bette a quick kiss and then heads back to her office.
