Kit looks at her suspiciously not buying it then sees Tina smile at her and Bette’s eyes dart back to Tina’s exposed muffin tops. Oh I see…

You see what? Bette asks. Shane sees also what Kit had seen and cracks a smile. Bette knows Shane caught her too and winks with a smile.

Never mind…Kit then catches a glimpse of Dana…Hey there comes Dana but I don’t see Alice. They all turn and look.

Where is she going? Carmen asks.

I don’t know… Bette says as they all follow her with their eyes. Dana goes over to another table where a woman stands up and Dana kisses her…kisses her hard and the woman kisses back taking Dana to the wall. Shane’s mouth drops and everyone else can be heard with their shhh wees and oh my God…Who is that? Bette asked.

Uhmmm I think it’s Lauren… Shane says. I only met her once at one of Dana’s practices but it looks like her.

See I told you she had someone to soothe her Tina says. Bette looked back at her and smiled.

Alice broke up with Dana…Tina says.

Really? Kit looked at Dana who was still making out…Well she certainly don’t look too torn up about it.

Bette laughs…No she doesn’t.

Because she met someone…Tasha somebody …She’s a sergeant in the Army.

What? You’re kidding? Kit asks. Bette just nods no…by this time Bette had put her hand back on Tina’s knee without even thinking. It had become second nature for her to rest her hand on Tina’s lap but Tina had noticed. It wasn’t hard to notice Bette’s touch. It always gave her a tingle that was very hard to control at times.

While Kit was still talking about Alice with Shane and Carmen, Tina leans over to Bette’s ear and whispers… I’m in heat. Want to take me to my new car? I’ll let you do more than just smell. Then she sits back up straight in her seat leaving Bette with a dazed look on her face. All sorts of thoughts were going through her head. Her biggest thought was how the hell to leave without drawing attention.
