You Will Pay For This! _ Chapter Eight

The Year: 2005 of May, the ninth
    The Meet: In the Club
    The Location: Milk
The Setting: corner tables of the club

    PREVIOUSLY….

“Who the hell is that?!” Bette screamed.

Alice and Dana turned to see what it is that Bette was screaming about. They see Tina walking in the club with a woman, clinging onto her arm.

    “Oh that’s Lena.” Dana revealed.

Bette came to a sudden halt. She thought,” Lena? Lena? Lena? No way… it can’t be her.”

“Oh shoot! Bette, is that Helena?!” asked Alice, who now has better view of the woman.

“No, it’s not Helena. It can’t be.” said Bette.

“Wait a minute. Did you say Helena? Helena Peabody?” asked Dana.

“Uh huh,” Bette shook her head.

“That’s the same one, then,” said Dana.

Bette fell back on her chair. She looks like a child, who was sent to a state penitentiary by their parents in the “Scared Straight Program,” to have a “talk” with the inmates.

“Alice, I’m scared,” said Bette, as she squeezed, tightly, on her friend’s hand.

“Oww..oww..oww… Bette, you’re hurting me,” said Alice, and rips her hand away. “You’re not the only one, fool. I am, too!”

“Whoa. Am I missing something here? You, two, know Lena?” asked Dana.

“Later, baby. I’ll tell you later,” said Alice.

Bette nearly jumps over the table, “What is Tina doing with Helena?!”

“Well, Helena is… ” Dana was interrupted by Bette, when she noticed Tina and Helena was on their way to the table.

“No time… Dana. Alice, she’s coming! She’s heading this way!! You want to….?” asked Bette. She didn’t even have to finish her question.

“Uh huh… Lets go, what are we waiting for?!!” Alice screamed.

Without any further notice, they grabbed the other’s hand, and were running for the back door. Meanwhile, Dana has no idea what’s going on, and her girlfriend had left without even a goodbye, but seeing Alice and Bette running like that, which reminded her of an episode of “Friends” where Phoebe and Rachael went on a morning run, and that alone was worth it.

And not too far away from the table were Tina, and Helena. They, too, saw Bette and Alice ran like a crossed, between a three-legged dog, and a blinded chicken, as they were bumping into every table looking for the exit door.

“Wait a minute, was that Bette and Alice?” asked Helena.

    “Yeah, you know them?”

“Do I know them?” Helena laughed. “Come on, lets go sit, and I’ll tell you all about it.”

They walked the short distance to where Dana was, laughing alone like a crazed lunatic.

“Dane, what’s so funny?!” asked Tina.

Dana swiping the tears that wouldn’t stop falling, because she had laughed so hard. ” Hey, babes!”

    “Hi Dane,”

    “Hey,”

“And to answer your question, I was laughing at my girlfriend, and her best friend! Did you see them go?” asked Dana.

    Helena laughed, “Did we?”

“Why did they leave?” asked Tina.

“Well, I can only assume that it’s because of Lena, here,” said Dana. “Tell us, Lena? How do you know them? And what did you do to them to had them running like that?!” Dana laughed.

“Yes, Lena. Do tell. I’d like to hear this,” said Tina, and feeling somewhat envious of Helena. She wondered, “Did she and Bette….did they?”

“Okay, gather round, babes. I have a tale to tell you. A long, long time ago, I met a girl, named Bette Porter……”
