Not much, are you okay? I havent seen you in a couple days.

Im good, fine, just been a bit busy.

Doing what? Youre never busy.

Just some stuff… thinking and working.. stuff

Okay, well were all going to Bette and Tinas tonight..

Shane, how are you?

Bette, Im great.

So, anything new with you?

Tina told you, didnt she?

Only a little, she didnt tell me who it is though..

That would be because I didnt tell her, and I dont plan on telling anyone until Im sure of whats going on.

I will Shane says as Bette walks away. She looks around the room and sees Alice walking towards her, ***** she mutters under her breath.

Hey Shane, there you are!

Alice, hi. Shane turns to greet Alice.

So what was that I heard about you taking a few days to yourself to think?

Oh yeah that, something came up, it was pretty confusing, its cool now though.

Are you sure, cause if you want to talk..?

No, Im good, really. Shane answers unconvincingly.

Alright, well, Im gonna go socialize. As Alice begins to walk away Shane calls after her.

Alice, wait. Alice turns around, I… um, I.. I think we should, talk. Shane finishes awkwardly.

Okay, are you alright?

Lets go sit outside, okay? Shane starts to walk, and Alice follows.

Once they have sat down by the pool, Shane makes no effort to begin.

Okay, well.. you wanted to talk?

Yeah, sorry. Umm, its about what we talked about last week. That I should date one of my friends because connections and Dana saying that there probably isnt attraction.. Shane begins nervously.

I was there, I know what we talked about… Interrupts Alice.

Can you not interrupt? this is kind of hard. Going off Alices silence Shane continues. Well that conversation got me thinking, then after, I began to.. realize some things, I talked to Tina, she said that I should keep thinking about how I feel, and what I want, and how this could affect my friendships. So that is why I havent been around for a while. Shane finishes, waiting for Alice to respond, You can talk now…

So, what we talked about made you think… about your feelings and friendships being affected…. Oh my god, one of these connections you have is more then just the connection you said it was! Alice shouts the last part.

Alice, would you please be a little quieter? Anyway, yes.. to what you said.

Well, umm. You see… I.. Its.. Well.. You see… Ah *****, Alice, its you, okay, you. Shane finally says, feeling relieved, she gets up, and walks back inside, leaving a stunned Alice sitting alone by the pool.
