WELCOME to L-word.com 2.0!

Think of us as “After the L word”  ;-)

L-word.com has had an absolutely amazing journey. We came online before the show even premiered, and we’ve been online for 9 years!

We’ve been home to over 60,000 people – almost all lesbian (or lesbians in training) – and almost 1400 prolific fanfic writers who have written almost 33,000 fanfic stories. We are one of the most popular fandoms anywhere on the Internet.

The show ended over 4 years ago, and it’s time for us to evolve. Welcome to

Lesbian Fanfic – L is the Word!

We now have TWO fanfic archives: 1 houses our amazing L word library of stories. The FemSlash library is home to all other lesbian fandoms.

Over the years, we’ve had many sites for shows. We’ve compiled them into Femslash, and we now open Femslash to any/all lesbian pairings or themes. If want to post to a fandom that does not yet exist, just let us know in the forum, and we’ll add it for you.

You’ll find our new fanfic archives offer some fabulous features we’ve never been able to offer before:

• Favorites – add authors or stories as favorites; if you’d like, you can receive email notification when updates are posted
• Custom avatars – go to Gravatar.com and use the same email address you are registered with here. Upload an avatar there – and it will be your avatar here.
• Fanfic comments are soooo important, and now we can offer you the best commenting system ever!
• Books with Chapters – we’ll be coaching writers of existing stories on how they can group their chapters into books; newly posted Books will easily be organized with chapters.
• And so much more! See the forum for info, tips, suggestions, and more.

Our forum is better than ever, as is our news section.

Please encourage all writers with comments and ratings. They work hard at their fandoms, providing us with countless hours of entertainment. They deserve your comments and ratings.

We welcome all of you. Please stick with us as we now begin the transition to FemSlash. We’ll be adding even more features very, very soon.
