This site is a community of friends – and family. Sadly, it’ s most evident when one of us is struggling. Fanfic writer Pie_Fair has been in the hospital, and many of her friends and readers have been sending her well wishes.
To boost her spirits, we have had an image re-created from a rather “famous” shirt we had made for fanfic writers a bunch of years ago. We had a party at a bar in NYC, and all the writers who came were given a shirt that looked like this:

Jacky–Thank you for this. I’m literally crying here so I’m trying to compose myself. I picked up a pen and started writing with such inspiration from so many great writers such as my sweet BenMac and the great allyemmerson and went from there. And the stories just kept coming. But now I have to put the pen down as I have things to deal with. I hope in time I can pick that pen up and start writing again. I have shelved my stories for now as I can’t finish them. Again thank you all for the love and support and hope to be back one day.

I was watching Rosie O’Donnell on the View yesterday and it was a unique show as they were talking about our community for a few minutes. They were making comments on the difference between gay men and lesbians. The point was, was that we are friends with our ex’s most often. It reminded me of this community on FanFic that we are family with each other as we love to read each others’ stories as well as support and respect one another as we attempt these endeavors.
I wish you all the best in your healings Pie Fair. I love to read what you create and now that you have an ‘in’ with the ethers as do lots of others. You are sorely missed each and every day that you aren’t on the site. I send you love, hugs and any other kinds of good energies to get you better faster. You will be in our thoughts and prayers until you tell us you are healthy again and then beyond that, lol!
Focus on you and getting better and we’ll just sit here sipping coffee or tea and chatting, waiting for your bright smile to appear again. ~bumsue

Hiya, PieFair – Someone wrote earlier that your stories had disappeared from the site, NOT TRUE! All thousand plus-plus of them are on there for all time and for everyone to enjoy. I’ve been working on my real job lately a lot, and just signed onto the site to put up a story and saw that you’ve taken ill and I’m sadden to hear it. You are an entertaining writer and so full of stories. What I also respect about you is your complete enthusiasm about our favorite characters and your unending storytelling that keeps them alive, animated and always poised to entertain.
