In the current forth season the viewers just got treated to another intense two-part episode, involving the CIA agents and national security plot. This time one of the guest stars for the ‘event’ was the one and only Jennifer Beals. The storyline began with Castle and Beckett trying to solve a murder that involved a rogue CIA agent and the couple found themselves in a middle of a CIA investigation, led by Beals’ Sophia Turner.

It makes me laugh sometimes that press really didn’t pay much attention to “Castle”, in spite of its strong ratings and loyal following but as soon as Jennifer Beals signed up for a two-parter, everyone suddenly wants to know what the storyline is and if there’s even going to be a spin-off with Sophia in it. I don’t think even Jennifer Beals understands the power and influence she brings into any show, even when she’s only a guest star. Needless to say, the ratings went way up last Monday night.
