L-word: You are very active on twitter and Facebook. Why do you think a lot of celebrities use social media as a means to reach out to their fans? And what does it do for you personally?
Tracy: It’s very personal. Social media reaches a lot of different places very, very quickly, in a millisecond. It’s a place where our fans and we can be close and we can update them on what’s going on. It’s just a great tool that everybody should learn to use because it’s a great promotional tool.
Stamie: I’ve liked a lot of celebrities growing up and I’m invested in them, whether they know me or not. So if I had a way to track and just be like, “Oh, they are doing A, B and C,” I would just enjoy it. It’s kind of like reading one of those magazines, People or Us magazine. It doesn’t really change your life at all but it’s part of your life.
Tracy: And it’s a very celebrity-driven culture, especially in LA. I don’t know how it is around the world but it is in LA. I guess when you can tweet Maria Bello and she writes back, it might make your day.
Stamie: Yeah, and that’s how we met Chely Wright. It gives you access that you’ll never have in any other way, that’s true.
Tracy: The twitter’s good.
Stamie: And I read the news on twitter in 140 letters or less.
Tracy: That’s all you can handle because you have a short attention span (laughing).
