LesFan.com started as L-word.com in December 2003. Our writers continue to post amazing fanfiction in support of The L Word, giving testimony to the power that the show had on so many lives.

L-word.com made a huge transition last year and became LesFan.com. The transition was both technical and thematic … we opened up to all fandoms. Still, the majority of fanfic posted continues to be The L Word. That is amazing!

We are encouraging our writers to post more fanfiction IN ADDITION TO The L Word fanfiction.

Why? The number of READERS continues to shrink. Look around… many of the “regulars” aren’t very regular any more. We very much need an infusion of new readers and writers, and the only way this is going to happen is by EXPANDING.

In the past, when I have expressed this position, I’ve been accused of “hating The L Word.” This is categorically NOT TRUE. Why would I go through such enormous personal expenses and work to keep these stories alive? I feel a sense of responsibility to save OUR stories on this site. Those stories are fanfiction.

Please support the preservation of ALL these stories. Read and support all writers. Invite new writers and readers. This is a wonderful community – let’s keep it alive!
