The Winter Olympics in Sochi ended on Sunday, marking the return of TV-as-we-know it. Here’s an overview of what we’re watching this week:
MONDAY
The Fosters on ABC had been airing even though the Olympics dominated television coverage for two of their Mondays. Stef and Lena and their growing brood continue to step through the minefield of life… parents dying, kids acting like jerks,ex husbands being good guys AND acting like jerks, kids acting being pains in the ass, hot kisses, new cars, more kids being jerks, interfering mothers, job worries, one sweet kid who may be dealing with gender identity issues, and … yeah, more pain in the ass kids.
Still. They are an out lesbian couple raising too many kids on ABC Family, who has shown them kissing, in bed, sexual, and getting married. Even if you didn’t like the show, it’s got to be supported. The good news: Stef and Lena are super likeable, as is the boy Jude.
Bonus: Rosie O’Donnell has had a multi-episode guest spot and has been the fabulous, sane Rosie we all came to love a lot of years ago.
