The 2012-2013 Fall Schedule: ABC (New programs in UPPER CASE; all times ET)
MONDAY
8-10:00 p.m. – “Dancing with the Stars”
10-11:00 p.m. – “Castle”
The Monday’s schedule won’t change because both shows seemed to be a very good pairing for the network. In midseason “The Bachelor” will be shown at 8:00 p.m. slot.
As a big fan of “Castle” I can’t wait for the new season, especially after such an intense Season 4 finale. I’m particularly interested to see how Andrew W. Marlow will deal with a new turn in Castle and Beckett relationship. In one of his recent interviews Marlow explained why it was the time to get the main characters together.
“Ultimately, you get to a fork in the road. If we kept them apart any longer, say another season – after what Castle had put on the table at the end of last season – in my mind, that would have been the death of the series. Then, we would have just been being artificial. They would have become brother and sister, and then we’re just ignoring everything that had happened. There comes a point where you have to confront it. … We wanted to get the point where we resolved it and made a promise for next season that these two are going to have to be dealing with their feelings for one another.”
TUESDAY
8-9:00 p.m. – “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show”
9-9:30 p.m. – “Happy Endings”
9:30-10:00 p.m. – “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23”
10-11:00 p. m. – “Private Practice”
Tuesday will be filled with comedies and drama from the previous season, though some changes are coming to “Private Practice.” First of all, Kate Walsh is leaving after this season. She said on a talk show, “It’s been an incredible journey and an amazing ride … It’s bittersweet. It’s a huge chapter of my life.” Walsh’s contract was actually up at the end of Season 5 but she agreed to sign in for the 13 episodes of the new season. Series co-star Tim Daly is also leaving. According to series creator Shonda Rhimes, it’s all happening because of the budget.
