CHAPTER 76
“You okay ?”
Emma came through into the kitchen as she fastened up her blouse. Helena was sitting at her breakfast bar drinking coffee – she looked miles away. Helena looked across and smiled
“Yeah”
“You sure ?”
“Just annoyed at my mother that’s all “
“Are you more or less annoyed at her or Bette ?”
Helena shook her head “I really am not sure at the moment “
“You know if its too much for you ?”
Helena took hold of Emma and pulled her close. She looked up at the older woman and smiled
“I am not a chicken “
“No one said you are but I know what your mother and Bette mean to you “
“Well this is the time – not the first or the last when they are both wrong. Its got nothing to do with anyone but us “
“Do you think we would have been better off keeping it secret ?”
“What and get into the mess that Bette and Tina did ? Not for me – we are doing nothing wrong”
“I know we are not “
Helena stroked Emma’s stomach and pulled her close and buried her head. Emma stroked Helena’s long dark hair – that felt really nice.
“Can you not take the day off ?”
“I could but I think we both need to be at work “
Helena stood up and kissed Emma on the lips. The kiss developed and Helena’s hand stroked Emma’s breasts. Emma gasped and pushed Helena backwards against the counter as the kiss became more passionate. Helena broke the kiss
“Lets go away at the weekend “
Emma was about to tell Helena that she had paperwork but she stopped herself
“Where ?” Emma challenged
Helena grinned “Anywhere in the world that you want “
“it’s a weekend we are talking about – I think Europe, Asia or Australia are at little unrealistic”
“Spoilsport “
“You could sue me but you will find I am supremely good at what I do “
Helena kissed Emma “You are fucking supremely good at what you do in the bedroom “
“And everywhere else “ Emma smiled – it had surprised her how sexually compatible they were and God Helena Peabody was smoking hot – how could she not be hooked,
Helena stroked Emma’s hair which was still slightly damp
“You really want to go away for a weekend – can you take Monday off ?”
“No point in being the boss if I cannot take a day off when I want “
“Monday as well ?”
Emma nodded – of course it was far too soon to be going away with Helena but it sounded like it would be fun and she was really enjoying her time with the brunette.
“Yes “
Helena smiled “Great – leave it to me – just have a bag packed for lunchtime on Friday”
Emma closed her eyes
“What’s wrong ?”
Emma smiled “Its just that Kate always had to drag me away for the weekend screaming and kicking “
“I am not Kate and I would never try to be Emma “
“I know – I just “
Helena didn’t reply but Emma looked at the younger woman “ Nothing “
“I do understand that she is on your mind all the time “

This seems like it’s almost an incestuous relationship but it’s not. I think Helena and Emma are grown adults without commitments and they should be able to live their lives as they choose. No one should be commenting and judging them, most especially Rosemary. The relationship will sink or swim on it’s own. I am cheering for the relationship to work out cuz regardless of the age difference everyone deserves love and fulfillment.
Great story line….I think this could work between Emma and Helena. I think its going to be just fine. If Tina is true to what she has said to Bette, to Emma and to Helena, then things will be fine no matter whether they break up or they turn it into something long term.
Peggy needs to just chill and follow Rosemary’s advise. Helena is an adult and can make her own decisions. And as long as Bette’s relationship with Tina is not threatened, then Bette and Helena will remain friends. The best thing that Bette and Tina and everyone else is to remain neutral with respect to the two. If problems come up between Helena and Emma, do not take sides. Let them work it out. What ever their future is, its in their hands.
Personally, I think that this could work for Helena and Emma. There is something between the two that we just cannot see yet. It appears so unlikely, that maybe it just could turn into something long term. And if they are both happy, then why not.
Great Story line…..can not wait to see how this turns out. Actually if Helena and Emma are in a stable relationship with each other or someone else, its helps Bette and Tina’s relationship. They will feel less obligation to be the social outlet for their friend and mother. They have someone else to fill their time which leaves more time for Bette and Tina to be together and work on their own relationship.
