How soon Is Now? Chapter 2

Tory’s POV

Ashley and I ran towards the softball fields, we were late for practice and coach hated it when people were late. " Run Ash!" I yelled back to her. She was a fast runner usually except today she was rather slow.

"Shut the hell up Reynolds!"

" Hey, it’s not my fault your slow as hell!"

"Whatever. So what are you doing tonight?"

"I think I’m going to Boondocks. Why"

"Well, me and Spencer were gonna go to the mall and hang out."

"I’ll think about it." Softball practice was a blur for some reason I couldn’t focus on practice.

"Head’s up Tory!"

"Wha-OW FUCK SHIT DAMN!"

Spencer’s POV

I started walking towards Tory’s car so we could go somewhere. L.A. was huge and here we could do almost anything we wanted to in town. I got to Tory’s car and nobody was there so I started walking to the softball fields to find her. "Hey Spencer."

"Hey Ash. Who did you have to beat up to get a softball uniform?"

"Nobody."

"Sure, If your gonna try and say you got on the team it won’t work."

"Are you saying you don’t believe me?"

"No I’m saying it would be impossible for you to get on the team."

"It wasn’t impossible."

"You made the team?"

"Yep. So did Tory."

"I’m so happy for you, Ash."

"Thanks.’

‘Where’s Tory at?"

"Uh..Oh the nurses office."

"What happened?"

‘She got hit in the head by the ball." Ash said trying not to laugh. It was kinda funny, I’ll admit, but I had to go get her to take us home.

Tory’s POV

I sat in the nurses office with a throbbing pain in my head and a bag of ice over the mountain that had formed over my forehead. It kinda felt like a hangover after a wild night out or like a heavy weight boxer punched me as hard as he could in my face.

"You’re gonna be okay just don’t drive long distances for a day or two." the nurse said finally returning from the back room.

"Okay, can I leave yet?"

"Only if you have someone to take you home."

"Why?" I said in a whinny voice sounding like a small child. Just then Spencer and Ashley walked in to the nurses office. Ashley looked like she had been laughing for the past hour or so. "Jesus Tory, you look like you got into a fight!" Ashley said holding back her laughter.

"Ash, be nice for once!" Spencer said to the now almost pink Ashley. "Can you leave yet?" She asked looking towards me.

"Yeah I think so." We walked to my car slowly and it was now dark outside. "Wow I can’t believe that she kept me there for 3 hours!"

"It was more like 2." Ashley said. We climbed into the car and took Ashley home I drove to and empty parking lot 3 miles away from Spencer’s house.

"What are we doing here?" Spencer asked with a confused look.

"Your getting your first driving lesson."

"Now?!"

"Hells yeah!"
