    Hi, my name is Spencer Carlin, and I can’t really talk at the moment.

    I was surprised I managed to get to sleep at all that night. But I had, and as morning rolled around, the fact that I was currently holding on to Ashley as if my life depended on it finally hit me. She didn’t seem phased by it at all, though. I felt her stir a little and knew she was awake, so I took the plunge.

    “Ash…”

    “Mmm too comfy… come back to me in 10 minutes,” she said sleepily. Well, I guess that settled it, then. Apparently, spooning was friendly in Ashley’s mind. I tried to close my eyes and fall back asleep, but it just wasn’t working. I couldn’t move, for fear of confusing or insulting Ashley, but I didn’t think I’d be able to just lay here like this for much longer. After what must have been about 5 or 6 minutes, I decided to try again.

    “Ash, I think I have to take Benny out.”

    “I don’t hear him.”

    “He doesn’t usually bark.”

    “Are you uncomfortable?” she asked. That could mean a lot of different things.

    “I don’t know… are you?”

    “I’m more comfortable than I’ve been in a long time,” she said. “But I guess we should probably get up anyway.” I moved my arms as I felt her stir more beneath me, and I began to sit up. She got out of bed, though, and headed for the door.

    “Where are you going?”

    “To take Benny out,” she replied.

    “Ash, you don’t have to… I’ll do it.” I stood up and started walking.

    “No, it’s fine. I don’t mind. But I guess you can come if you want,” she smirked. I smiled and slipped on a pair of shoes.

    It was pouring rain by the time we got back inside, and one thought immediately popped into my head.

    “Maybe your flight will be delayed,” I suggested.

    “Shit… I hope not.” So much for optimism…. I guess the look on my face spoke pretty loudly. “Oh, not because I don’t want to stay or anything. I just have to be back. They wanted me to fly out last night just to make sure, but I wasn’t really down with that.”

    “Oh,” I replied, grinning. “You can use my computer to check it out if you want.”

And what a patter its been. I thought I was faster than a speeding bullet! Go Girls! Yes, well, goodbyes are tearful, but only if you say them on Wednesday. Much better to say see you later. I left, I came back. And I had a son when i got back. Stop wait. Did Ash get Spence preggers? Oh, wait, haha, Silly Superman. You know Kozmic, there is always room in the Justic League for a hero with sultry penmenship. Are you game?
