Present day

Bette opened the door and entered The Planet as she looked at her usual table for her friends.
She stopped in her tracks her heart pounding a mile a minute, wondering if she was dreaming.
Standing there raising her hands to her eye’s to rub them, no I’m awake she thought. Looking
back up to her friends and she felt her mouth curling to the biggest smile. “Oh my god” she
whispered softly to herself. Sitting there was the most beautiful woman she ever laid eye’s
on, the love of her life, her soul mate. She stood watching for a moment, the table was erupting
in laughter. Tina’s smile made Bette’s heart melt and she started to get butterflies in her stomach.
Wow she thought I haven’t felt that for the longest time.
Bette started to walk over to the table but her legs wouldn’t move as she remembered all that had
happened between them 7 years earlier. Really all she wanted to do was run over there and take
her in her arms, tell her she still loved her and take her right on that table. Her heart sank and her
smile quickly disapeared from her face. Breathless for a moment giving herself a pep talk: breathe,
come on Porter you can do this. Finally getting up the nerve to go over, her smile returned.
Aproaching from behind Tina she was about 5 feet from the table when she heard a little voice say
“mommy”. Seeing Tina lean down to her right and pick up a little girl “yes sweety” Tina said softly.
Her heart broke in that second, she had a child with someone else, she thought.
“Holy *****” Bette yelled.”you have a kid!”
No one had noticed Bette before then, but now they were all staring up at her.
She looked down on her friends with a pained look on her face searching for why they hadn’t told her.
“*****” Alice whispered in Dana’s ear “I knew we should have told her”
Looking up at Bette seeing the pain in her eye’s Tina felt a gutwrenching pain in her stomach,
knowing she caused this pain. She still cared and loved her even after all these years.
She stood and gently took Bette’s hands and guided her away from the table.
“Look Bette” Tina softly said “I asked them not to tell you about me and my life. I thought it would be
less painful for you to not hear about me because contrary to what you may think I never wanted to
hurt you Bette. I’m sorry that you found out about Louise like this I really thought I’d be able to talk to
you earlier but you’ve been so busy since I returned and I didn’t want to tell you over the phone.
Bette’s mind was racing trying to find something to say but words were failing her.
Tina:”Bette are you listening”
Louise is that her name she thought, what a beautiful little girl just like her mom.
She finally managed to spit something out “I…I missed you” with that she quickly ran out with tears
streaming down her face, leaving Tina standing there dumbfounded.
Seeing this Shane stood up and ran after her.
Tina went back to her friends.
“What happened Tina”, Alice blurted out.
Tina:”Um I’m not really sure Al, I don’t think she heard a word I said.”
Kit: “I better go see if my baby sistah is ok”
Tina: “I’m sure Shane will bring her back in Kit”
Kit:”She does have a way that girl don’t she”
Dana: “So did you tell her Tina”
Tina: “No. Hey didn’t you girls tell I’m coming back to live”
Ailice: “We thought you didn’t want us to”
Tina: “Yes Al but since when have you been able to keep your mouth shut”
Dana, Jenny, Kit and Tina laugh
Alice: “Hey I’ve been keeping your buisness to myself for like 7 years now missy” pointing at Tina
Dana: “And do you know hard it’s been for her. I don’t know how many times I’ve caught her calling
Bette, I’ve had pull the phone out of her hand and tape her mouth shut so she wouldn’t blab”
They all laugh again while Alice gives Dana a nudge with her elbow.

Outside the Planet

Shane:”Bette wait up”
Bette stopped and turned around falling onto Shane’s shoulder
Bette:”Why didn’t you guys tell me Shane why.” Bette’s heart breaking “that should have been our
little girl, mine and Tina’s. Why did i ***** up so badly.”
Shane: “I’m sorry Bette but she asked us, you know! And every time we mentioned her you would
look so hurt. We all thought it was best if you got on with your life without worrying about her.”
Bette: “But don’t you see shane she is my…was my life”
Shane: “Wow um we all thought you had gotten over her since you’ve been with Rachel.”
Bette: “No she’s just, someone to…you know” slightly laughing
Shane: smiling now “What a booty call”
Bette: “Well I wouldn’t put it like that Shane, she takes care of my needs” wickedly grinning
Shane: “No wonder you haven’t moved in together. It’s been like 2 years hasn’t it”
Bette: “Yeah it has”
Both laughing now
Shane: “How about we go back inside aye.”
Bette: “Ok, Shane thankyou. Let’s get back in there then shall we”

They enter and head back over to the table.
Kit: “You ok baby girl”
Bette: “Yeah I was just a little shocked that’s all” she glanced at Louise and then to Tina “she’s beautiful T just like her mom”
Tina cheeks turn bright red and could’nt wipe the smile off her face not knowing what to say she blurted out “Thanks Bette yes she’s my little angel.”
This was just like old times Tina thought to herself how she’d missed being here like this with them. Everyone was so happy even Bette. My talk with Bette can wait we need to be alone for what I have to tell her.
