Tina hung up the phone with a smile on her face. It had been three weeks since her and Bette talked about what was bothering Tina and she felt like the talk had been very productive. These past three weeks had been great and Tina was happily surprised to see how Bette responded to what she had told her. Tina could see the effort Bette had been making and she knew that Bette only wanted to make her feel loved, but it was working better than she could have ever imagined. It wasnt like Bette had done any grand gesture or bought Tina an expensive giftit was the little things like this phone call that made Tinas day. Tina wasnt the only one getting special attention these days however, as Tina had been making sure to let Bette know how much she appreciated everything she was doing for her. Tina would surprise Bette with lunch or dinner and when Bette came home in a terrible mood, instead of just waiting for it to pass like she used to do, Tina would listen patiently as Bette let it all out before assuring her that it would be okay and doing whatever else it took to make Bette calm down. The lines of communication between them were open and working better than before and Tina felt so happy she thought she would literally float off the ground just from being in Bettes presence. Bette was becoming more willing to open up and share her feelings, although she usually reverted to form if whatever was bothering her was too intense or too personal, but Tina knew that Bette had taken major steps in that department so she usually didnt push too hard to get Bette to completely open up.

Their ***** life had also improved and Tina never knew they could be so insatiable. Even in the beginning stages of their relationship when the ***** was exciting and new it didnt compare to what they had now. Tina smiled as she remembered a time last week when Bette had woken her up early so they could go at it before heading off to work and how Bette had sent her flowers with a card that simply said, tonight. Tina felt a throb between her legs as she remembered how hungry for her Bette had been that night and she felt tears in her eyes as she remembered the look in Bettes eyes as they brought each other to ***** again and again. Bettes eyes had betrayed her rough, solid exterior and had let Tina see inside her soul. Corny as it may sound, Tina knew that at that moment, their lives and their hearts were beating in a perfectly synchronized rhythm. These past three weeks had really helped them reconnect and Tina felt more confident than ever that this was the person she had been made for. Tina was a romantic at heart and while she might not believe all the mushy nonsense, she still believed in a few things like karma, destiny, and the one. Bette has always been and would always be her one and Tina believed that she could search for a hundred million years and she still wouldnt find anyone who ever measured up to Bette.

Nothing they did seemed like work anymore and Tina couldnt believe she used to think it was. She felt guilty when she remembered telling Bette that maybe they were working for something that just wasnt there and she mentally kicked herself for even letting herself think that this relationship had run its course. Tina knew she was only having those feelings because some part of her knew that this was just a stagnant part in the relationship, but she truly felt bad for even voicing these concerns to Bette. Tina was usually so strong, so able to handle herself, and she never realized that Bette had made her such a vulnerable person. She had become vulnerable to Bette in a way that would make most people stronger but for some reason, made her susceptible to fear. Tina saw how much Bette completed her life and how much Bette meant to her and she knew she had given in completely to everything about Bette and that scared her. Tina had never known love to be so strong or so fulfilling, and that was why she had those doubts. It was like her own little defense mechanism, always keep a little bit of herself hidden and she would never get hurt, but Tina also knew even that hadnt worked with Bette. Bette had broken down those walls and now Tina was exposed for everything that she was and everything she could be with Bette by her side. Tina had given herself completely to the woman that she loved and for the first time in her life, Tina was able to see a future with someone. It wasnt just a future that lasted a few years, no this was a future that lasted a lifetime.

Tina shook her head as she tried to get back to work but she was having such a terrible day and all she wanted to do was go home and be with Bette. Tina looked at her desk and the piles of contracts and scripts that were crowding her desk and she just couldnt take it anymore. She told her boss she was going to work from home for the rest of the day and after gathering her things she left the office and headed over to Bettes gallery. Tina knew Bette was probably just as busy as she was, but she just wanted to surprise her and see her smiling face. Tina stopped at a flower shop and picked up a long stem lavender rose, Bettes favorite, and headed to the Bette Porter gallery. When she arrived she could see that it wasnt too crowded so she went in and headed straight back to Bettes office. Bettes assistant smiled at her and told her to go on back and as Tina neared the office door she could hear Bette yelling at someone. Tina waited a second before knocking on the door and smiled as she thought about how different this Bette was compared to the one she shared a bed with.

Tina opened the door but instead of walking all the way in she just held out the rose like one would do with a white flag when they were surrendering. Bette smiled when she saw the rose and she jumped up and threw open the door to find Tina standing there with a big smile on her face. Bette pulled her in to the office and after she shut and locked the door she turned and gave Tina a kiss so passionate that Tina had to brace herself against Bettes desk as she tried to regain her composure.

Surprising you. I couldnt sit behind my desk any longer.

Bette grinned wickedly at Tina as she let her eyes wander over Tinas body. Bette loved everything about Tina from her ultra sweet personality, to her excellent culinary skills, to the way she looked in the business suit she had on. Bette leaned in and kissed Tina with a little more urgency and Tina smiled into the kiss before pulling away and laughing softly as she smoothed out Bettes hair and let one hand gently caress Bettes cheek.

Bette didnt say another word as she scooted Tina all the way up on her desk and positioned herself between Tinas legs. Tina smiled seductively at Bette as Bette slowly started unbuttoning Tinas blouse.

Tina was unbuttoning Bettes shirt as well and soon they were both letting their hands roam over each others exposed chest and stomachs and Bette inhaled sharply as Tina pinched her nipples roughly over through her bra. Tina smiled sweetly at Bette, a total contradiction to her hands, and leaned in to suck on Bettes neck lightly. Bette moaned when Tina nipped at the sensitive skin and she hastily pulled back and laid Tina all the way down on the desk before undoing Tinas slacks and pulling them down.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Im sorry to bother you Bette, but theres an urgent phone call on line two for you.

Who is it?

They wouldnt say. But they said it was very important.

Tell them Im in a meeting.

I tried thatthey wouldnt take no for an answer.

Tina looked at Bette with an oh ***** no you better not take that call look but Bette just smiled at her sheepishly as she motioned that it would only take a minute and picked up the phone.

You know for someone who seemed to be having a life crisis about a month ago you sure dont answer your phone much these days.

Bette looked at Tina and felt her cheeks flush a little as she took in the sight of Tina sprawled out on her desk in nothing but a bra and underwear. Bette cleared her throat before answering.

Bette hung up and shook her head as she laughed and thought about how pissed Alice would be later. Her eyes fell on Tinas body and suddenly those thoughts were gone as Bette walked back to where she was before and smiled down at Tina as she licked her lips in anticipation. Tina had other ideas in mind however as she stood up and led Bette to her desk chair and pulled her pants down before sitting her down on it and climbing on to straddle her waist. Bette groaned loudly when Tina slid one hand down Bettes underwear and lightly rubbed her ***** while the other hand grasped one of Bettes and brought them down her own underwear. Tina felt a shiver run up her spine when Bettes fingers made contact and soon they were both rocking slowly back and forth on each others hands. Tina had to grab the back of Bettes chair to hold herself up as an ***** ripped through her body with tremendous force and Bette cried out seconds later as her own ***** overtook her body. They sat there staring at each other and breathing heavily as Tina leaned in and kissed Bette softly on the lips. Bette smiled into the kiss and used one hand to support Tinas neck and gently hold her in place. After a few minutes of kissing Tina had to pull away for air and when she did she saw the flush reappear in Bettes cheeks. She laughed as she stood up and walked around to the other side of the desk to retrieve her own pants and hand Bette hers.

Okay babe I better get going before you dont get any work done.

Tina smiled again and walked over and draped her arms around Bettes neck. She nudged Bettes nose playfully with hers and she smiled again when she saw the stars in Bettes eyes. Bette kissed her softly before remembering something and pulling back to look Tina in the eye.

Oh I almost forgotI made an appointment with whats his namethe real estate guy

YeahI was thinking maybe we could look at some houses this weekend?

Tina had finished putting her clothes back on and after making sure she didnt look to frazzled and Bette had all her clothes back on too, Tina opened the door and blew Bette a kiss as she was leaving. Bette had a permanent smile on her face for the rest of the day and everyone at the gallery said whatever Tina did must have been a miracle because Bette was a totally different person than she was this morning. Bette sighed happily as the lights on her phone lit up but she ignored them and thought more about Tina and their life together. She had actually already talked to the real estate guy and found a couple of houses she liked so her plan was to show them to Tina and whatever one she liked they would have. Bette couldnt believe she was actually going to do this with Tina but she was so excited about moving in together that she totally ignored the little voice in her head that would normally go off and try to scare her out of doing this. She was completely happy with the way things were going and after having the talk with Tina she knew Tina felt the same and Bette was confident that they could successfully take this next step together.
