Tina laughed and got out of bed and pulled a grumbling Bette with her as she headed into the bathroom. Somehow they managed to shower with out humping like rabbits and exactly one hour later they were standing in front of the real estate office waiting for Mark to arrive. He showed up right on time and he let them in and got them coffee before settling them down at his desk. He had prepared a portfolio of possible houses for them and he knew that while Bette had already made her decisions, Tina still needed to see everything before she could make hers. Mark had originally asked Bette why she was looking at them by herself and she explained that she just wanted to narrow it down before showing Tina and he smiled and agreed not to tell Tina that he had already shown Bette the properties that were on the list. He purposefully put the places that Bette had liked in the front and went over them thoroughly while leaving the few that she didnt like for a back up just incase Tina didnt like any of the houses. He showed them the portfolio and explained that given their economic status they could really afford to live almost anywhere in the Los Angeles area, but since they were a ***** couple, they might be more comfortable in West Hollywood. Bette had liked a few houses in Santa Monica and Brentwood as well as some in West Hollywood, but Tina said that Santa Monica was too close to her mom and Brentwood was more out of the way than her place was now, especially when she was running late for work due to Bette not being able to keep her hands to herself, but she agreed to see all of them before they made a decision. Bette smiled and winked at Mark as they headed out to see the various locations and they decided to start in Santa Monica then head over to West Hollywood before coming back down to Brentwood since it was the closest to his office. Tina got into Bettes car and they followed Mark to the first house as Tina talked Bettes ear off about what she had liked and disliked from the portfolio and Bette just listened with a big smile on her face and she was so thrilled that Tina was actually happy about doing this.

They pulled up to the first place on their list and Bette could see the glow in Tinas eyes. She was pretty sure that Tina was mentally picturing what it could look like with her and Bettes things in it and after a few minutes of looking around outside, they went in. This was a large two-story home in Santa Monica and Bette had initially liked it because of the spacious rooms inside and the awesome view from the deck. It was a little out of their price range, but both Bette and Tina knew if they really wanted it they could afford it without any worry. They poked around for a little while before Tina said she wanted to see the next one and turned to Bette who was smiling and holding the door open for her as they left. They saw two more houses in the Santa Monica area before heading towards West Hollywood to check out the three properties there. On the drive over Tina told Bette that while she loved the houses, she wasnt sure how the neighbors would feel with a ***** couple living on their street. Sure it was 2004 and Santa Monica had become a very liberal city, but even with all that she was afraid that some people might have qualms about them and she didnt want to have to worry about that. They exited the freeway and when they got to West Hollywood Tina said she honestly just felt more comfortable in this city than in any other. Bette didnt say a word as they came to the first house on the list. It was a cozy little house tucked away in a residential area where the streets were lined with trees and kids played on the sidewalk and Bette knew Tina would love this house. It was well in their price range and Bette even had a few ideas as to what they could do to fix it up a little. It also happened to be just down the street from the Planet and Bette liked that too since they all spent so much time there. This was the house that Bette had loved and really wanted and she was positive that once Tina saw it they would be making an offer on it come first thing Monday morning.

Bette pulled over in front of the two-bedroom home and she grinned when she saw Tinas face light up again. Tina jumped out of the car and immediately ran up to the door peering in through the window. Bette laughed at Tinas eagerness to see the place and even Mark had a smile on his face when he saw how happy she was. He put in the combination to the lock box and after a key fell out from the bottom he opened the door for them and let them inside. Bette followed Tina into the spacious living room with hardwood floors and large window looking out to the street and she could see Tina already picking out furniture for this room in her head. Tina walked around the spacious room and into the kitchen to check it out and she loved the open space it had and little window in the wall that separated the dining area from it. There was a sliding glass back door and Tina looked out and almost shrieked when she saw the back yard. Bette just remained silent but had a big smile on her face and Tina took her hand and dragged her outside to see the pool and spacious back yard. It had enough room to plant things along the fence that separated it from their next door neighbors backyard and Tina whispered to Bette that she could garden there if they got this place. Bette just smiled warmly at Tina, who hadnt noticed that Bette wasnt even looking around and inspecting things like she normally would have, since she was too busy being excited and falling in love with the house. They went back inside to see the rest of the house and when Tina led Bette down the little hallway to the master bedroom her mouth almost dropped open. It was an overly spacious room with three windows on the adjacent wall that sat in front of the partial wrap around window seat, which extended that part of the room out about six feet, and there was a large closet taking up most of the wall that was perpendicular to the doorway. This room was large enough for a huge bed, a couple of dressers, and even some reading chairs and Bette knew Tina loved this room the best. After seeing the rest of the house they walked out followed by Mark who locked up and walked them to their car. He started to tell them more about the house and the two other ones they wanted to see but Tina interrupted him saying she needed to talk to Bette for a second. After giving Mark a brief smile Tina dragged Bette a little further away so he couldnt hear what they were saying.

He asked them if they were sure since there were still a few houses to see but Tina insisted this was the one they wanted and after he looked at Bette who just shook her head yes he grinned at them and said he would put in an offer first thing on Monday. They discussed a few more things and after about ten minutes he left them alone saying he would get back and start getting the paperwork in order and Tina and Bette just stood there and looked longingly at the house. Tina took Bettes hand in hers and turned her so that they were face to face.

Bette made a face and Tina just laughed at Bettes pessimism but when Bette leaned in and kissed her softly Tina had butterflies in her stomach. Bette stroked her cheek gently and whispered in her ear.
