It was around 6:00 a.m. and everyone was still sleeping and dreaming happy things. Everyone except Shane that is. Shane was tossing and turing and talking in her sleep.

Shane: No, not again. Please stop. I don’t want to die. Noooo!!!!!!!

Tina and Bette woke up as soon as they had heard Shane talking. Tina beat Bette out into the leaving room where she then shook Shane out of her sleep and calmed her down.

Tina: Shane you were having a nightmare.

Shane: OMG you guys I’m sry I didn’t mean to wake you.

Bette: Hey it’s no big deal.

Shane: It’s jsut when I usually have these nightmares no one is around to hear me screaming.

Tina: You mean you’re had nightmares before?

Shane: Almost every night since I left the house. But it’s okay now why don’t you guys go back to bed. I’m just going to go for a walk.

Tina: Bette she is right you have work in the morning.

Bette: What about you?

Tina: Like I said early i don’t want her to be alone. I’m going to go with her. You don’t mind do you Shane?

Shane: No, of course not.

Tina: K then it’s settled.

Tina tucked Bette back into bed and Shane and Tina were off.

Alice’s house

Alice stared at Dana as she was sleeping. She had never really fallen into a deep sleep and then all of a sudden she had woken up with a start with no reason of why.

Alice got out of bed and into the kitchen for some coffee. Dana noticed the shift of weight on the bed. Dana got up soon after Alice.

Alice was sitting at the table crying into her hands when Dana came up behind her and wrapped her hands around her neck it startled her.

Dana: I didn’t mean to scare you.

Alice: No its fine I don’t know why I didn’t hear you.

Dana: Alice whats wrong? Is it the Shane thing?

Alice: Kinda I mean I was the one that got her that time. I was the one that brought her to the hospital and I listened to them tell me that she had tried to kill herself, twice. The told me that they don’t know how she injected herself after the 5th needle and I know now. It wasn’t even her doing it. I should have believed her when she said it wasn’t her fault.

Dana: Alice you didn’t know. No body knew.
Now come back to bed where I can take care of you.

Dana took Alice’s hand and lead her back to her bedroom.

Shane and Tina on there walk

They had both been very quite. Tina was waiting for Shane to say something.

Shane: Tina you don’t have to care so much. I have been fine since it happened and I am fine now.

Tina: Shane you’re not fine. You’ve been having nightmares since it happened. I want you to come to the center with me today.

Shane looked at Tina with a “huh” look on her face.

Tina: We have a therapist there that talks with the kids and even the volentires when something is going on with them.

Shane: Tina I really don’t…

Tina: Shane please can you jsut try.

Shane stopped walking and turned towards Tina.

Shane: would you go with me?

Tina: Of course I will. If that is what you want…

Shane: It is.
