the Canadian Job – – DELAYED —
Just a little note to let the four people who actually read my stuff know that I will be taking a short break to deal with Mother Nature yet again.
I and the area in which I live are just so weather weary that surrender seems like a blissful option right now.
Hurricane Frances has decided to introduce herself to my neighborhood, rude little *****.
She has been a most unwelcome to the entire state but just doesn’t seem to feel a real sense of urgency to get out and move on. WE DON”T LIKE HER.
Her cousin, Charley blinked, sneezed and took a hard right several weeks ago and left my town unscathed and we were so prepared then.
Now, once again, the prparations are in place and we can do nothing but ride out the storm. Currently the outer bands have hit our area with sustained winds of 40 mph, gusts of 60 plus (I know all the hurricane lingo since that is the only talk on my TV!).
The rain is not heavy yet but it will be renlentless once it starts. I’m not afraid for myself as much as I am for the people sevral blocks away. Three huge mobile parks surround my neighborhood and many seniors always seem to think that abandoning their homes is not an option. I sometimes think they have few relatives nearby and that makes me sad for them.
I plan to sit on my porch and take pictures and may just pull a Tom Hanks in Castaway move if one of those mobile homes come flying by in bits and pieces. I’ll grab an awning and use it as a boat to navigate the streets which will be flooded in a matter of hours.
The good news is that the storm has finally picked up the pace a little and is moving around 10 MPH (as opposed to 4 MPH). That slow moving ***** just lingers and brings so much rain and wind destruction – it’s unnerving.
I don’t understand why we couldn’t just get it over with – like a tornado – big hit– three, four minutes — boom, in and out — it’s over. All the time leading up to the storm, the length of the storm and the time it will take to clean everything up just makes me think I don’t have enough Zanax!
As long as the power holds out (and I’m sure that won’t be for too much longer) I’ll probably mosey on over to the computer to check the storylines of the FAN FIC writers.
I don’t have much of a concentration level to write anything, but for some reason I can’t seem to get the others out of my head.
I am pathetic, my life literally crumbling before my eyes and I all I want to do is find a fix – I am such an addict – weak, pathetic, responsibilty-shirking, no good pice of ***** addict . . . and I choose to blame you and you and you and especially YOU . .

My prayers go out to each Floridian who has to endure such unmerciful weather. Frances is like a bad date that doesn’t know how to end. Slow moving and persistent. I stayed up watching the tv until 0430 pst in absolute awe. I am a native Californian who lives at the beach and I can not imagine the constant rain and over flowing sea come inland like this. Stay dry and safe. Look forward to reading more from you.
Hang on tight, and take care.
Be careful.
Hope you and your loved ones will be okay.
Let us know how you are doing when Frances has left the building.
I’m going to read your second chapter this evening. My thoughts will be with you.
