You break it, you replace it – Chapter 13

It was Friday night at the end of another exhausting week. They had spent many hours talking, listening, crying and shouting, over the past couple of weeks. Progress was hard but slowly won. Tonight Tina wanted to forget it all. They were going out with the girls for the first time in months and she was determined to ignore the scars for one night. Alice picked her up just after 5:30pm and fifteen minutes later they were at The Planet throwing back margaritas like they were water.

At 6:58pm when Bette walked into The Planet Tina was out of her chair and at the door in Bette’s arms like lightning.

    “Hey T” Bette laughed

“Hey Babe, what took you so long”

“I’m early” Bette frowned “I wasn’t due for at least another thirty minutes”

“You left work early?” Tina pulled back to look at her, arms still firmly around the back of Bette’s neck.

“Yeah” Bette reached out and ran her thumb across Tina’s cheek before leaning in to kiss her lightly on the lips “I told him I had places to be on a Friday night other than work.”

“Franklin wouldn’t have liked that.” Tina replied searching for Bette’s lips again. She was an affectionate drunk and Bette always thought it was so cute when she was like this.

“***** Franklin,” Bette responded between kisses “he doesn’t keep me warm at night.” With that she took the kiss deeper, her tongue slipping into Tina’s mouth, losing herself in familiar places that she had sorely missed.

“Jesus, Bette!” Alice shouted “If that’s how it’s going to be then just take her home now. Don’t worry about us, we’ll be fine!”

Tina pulled back and raised her eyebrow at Bette. Bette’s first instinct was to take Tina’s hand and drag her home without saying a word to Alice or anyone else for that matter. That wasn’t how it was going to be though and Bette knew it.

While she craved her wife in every way, things couldn’t happen simply because Tina’s inhibitions had been quelled by alcohol. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Tina was well on her way to a nasty hangover. Bette thought about getting her to ease up and drink some water but decided to let the evening run its course, Tina had been dealing with so much for so long that she was probably overdue for this blowout. Instead she opted to walk over the table and sit Tina down again before looking around the group

    1. My question is why did Bette drag Tina away from Candance, it seems as though she was protecting Candance, not Tina, because she never said anything to Candance when she accused Tina of not being able to satisfy Bette. Just a thought.

    2. Here goes the dyke drama again. Hey, don’t get me wrong, I’m up for it, besides it’s not unrealistic to have Candace bumping up to them since they belong to the same nieche. And it’s sort of expected to happen.

    3. I am not sure about how exactly I feel aboyt this chapter. I suppose that it is realistic for them to of run into each other. I am not sur if Tinas’ reaction was totally accurate. but it is your story and you have the wheel. Just keep it realistic and it will read believeable. Thanks for this chapter, and for your time. Until the next one.
