Bette smiled as she continued to massage Tinas lower back gently. Tina had been having more body aches this time around and Bette was doing her best to be attentive to her needs and make sure she was taken care of. Bette shifted her weight a little so that she was straddling Tina and she applied a little more pressure cautiously as she checked to make sure it wasnt hurting more than helping. Tinas face contorted a little at the pain but she didnt say anything so Bette continued to slowly work the muscles that were causing Tina discomfort. Tina was almost five months pregnant and she was showing a little, but not as much as when she had Liz. Bette watched Tinas face carefully to make sure she wasnt hurting her but when Tina fell asleep Bette sighed with relief and stopped what she was doing before carefully climbing off of her. Tina hadnt been sleeping well for the past couple of weeks and Bette didnt think that was good for the baby. Even though it was only six oclock in the evening, she was glad that Tina was getting some rest. She tiptoed out of the room and shut the door softly behind her and went to join Nancy and Liz in the living room.

Bette laughed as Liz bounced over and jumped into her arms. Liz was growing up fast and Bette couldnt believe that she was already three and half years old. The first couple of years were tough but now it seemed natural and Bette couldnt wait to have another little person running around the house as well. Nancy smiled at Bette and made sure she had everything under control before heading home. Bette and Liz settled down in front of the TV with Liz watching some cartoons while Bette got a little bit of reading for work done. After a few hours Bette glanced at the clock and saw that it was time for Lizs bath so she scooped her daughter up and carried her into the bathroom. She ran the water and after checking the temperature she got Liz settled in and helped her wash herself off before toweling her off and getting her ready for bed. No sooner had Bette gotten Liz settled down and asleep when Tina woke up and she was not in a good mood.

Why did you let me sleep so long Bette?

You only slept a few hoursbesides you havent been sleeping well

Tina stormed off into the kitchen leaving Bette standing there with her mouth open in shock. Talk about hormonal, she thought as she followed Tina into the kitchen. Tina was seated at the kitchen table eating a piece of banana cream pie and reading a magazine when Bette came in and sat across from her. Tina didnt look up so Bette sighed and gave up as she walked back to her work and resumed reading. At a little past midnight Bette finally looked up and was surprised to see how late it was. She looked over at the kitchen table but when she didnt see Tina she got up to look for her. She checked their room first but when she didnt see her she went to Lizs room and found Tina asleep in the feeding chair in Lizs room. Bette smiled at this and went over to wake her up so they could go to bed.

Bette sighed again and looked down at her wife. She knew that Tina was just going though some hormonal imbalances lately but sometimes Bette was hurt by the things coming out of her mouth even if it wasnt mean to be taken like that. She tried one more time to convince Tina to come to bed.

Bette stood up quickly and retreated out of the room. Tina sighed to herself as she watched Bette leave and part of her knew why Bette was so upset but part of her hated that she almost didnt care. She didnt know why she was being so moody lately but she just wanted it to hurry up and leave so she could feel normal again. Tina spent the rest of the night watching her daughter sleep and thinking about everything that her and Bette had been though over the past ten years. Sometime after three in the morning she finally crawled into bed next to Bette who seemed to reach for her almost instinctively and Tina smiled as she settled in her arms and fell fast asleep. In the morning she woke up to the smell of pancakes and bacon and she wandered out to the living room still half asleep. Bette was sitting at the table feeding Liz who was doing her best to eat pancakes with a fork instead of her fingers but seemed to be failing miserably at it. Tina sat down across from Bette who gave her a weary smile.

Bette got up and got Tina some breakfast while Tina finished feeding Liz and helping her drink her milk. After she was done Bette took her and got her cleaned up while Tina ate and soon Liz was running around the house refreshed with energy to burn. Liz looked at her two mommies who were just sitting there not talking to one another and she couldnt figure out why they were being so quiet so she decided to make some noise to help them out a little.

AHHHHHHHHHHH

Liz ran full speed into the kitchen and into Bettes lap catching her completely off guard. Bette laughed at Lizs rambunctious demeanor and even Tina couldnt help but smile. Bette whispered something into Lizs ear who nodded okay and took off running. Tina shook her head at her daughters energy and turned to Bette with a smile on her face.

Bette laughed at Tinas defensive comeback and she grinned as she didnt say anything. Tina smiled at Bette but raised an eyebrow saying that she better spill or else. Bette was just about to say something when Liz returned from her mission. She pulled on Tinas robe as she handed her the contents of what Bette told her to go get.

Tinas eyes watered a little as Liz handed her the flowers that she had picked from the garden and the morning paper. Tina was sure that the garden was now a complete mess and she would have to spend days cleaning it up but she didnt care. She bent down and kissed Liz on the top of her head as she smiled at her.

Tina turned to Bette who was watching the interaction with a smile on her face as well. Tina grinned at her.

Bette stood up and walked over to Tina who pulled her down on her lap carefully to make sure they werent squishing the baby. Tina smiled up at Bette who looked down at her with glowing eyes. She ran her fingertips lightly over Bettes cheeks as she smiled at her and leaned in for a soft kiss. Bette smiled into the kiss and Tina laughed when she felt Liz tug on her again. After a few seconds she pulled away from Bette and looked down at Liz who was standing there with her hands on her hips. Bette and Tina laughed at Lizs protesting and Bette stood up and pulled Liz in for a big bear hug. Tina laughed as Bette began spinning her around and pretending to fly her through the air. She finally came to a crash landing on the couch and Tina joined her two favorite girls as the three of them erupted in a fit of laughter and giggles.

Bette ceased her tickling on Liz who giggled again before wiggling out of Bettes grasp and running for dear life. Bette looked at Tina who looked so happy just being around these two and she winked at her. Tina laughed and plopped down next to Bette who pulled her into her arms.

Tina laughed at Bettes response and she enjoyed the feeling of her wifes strong arms around her as they laid there in silence for a few seconds before they were so nicely interrupted by Liz peeking her head around the corner and giggling loudly. Bette and Tina looked at each other for a second before they jumped up and took off chasing Liz through the house. Bette caught Liz as she was trying to shut her door and she picked her up again and resumed torture by tickling her on the bed. As Tina watched them she let out a happy laugh as she enjoyed the company of her family. She knew things wouldnt be the same when their son arrived and she knew that her and Bette would love him with all their heart and soul but part of her kind of liked how things were right now. She had a good job, a wonderful wife and daughter and a lovely place to call home. What more could she ask for? Besides when Bette felt like it Tina felt like she had two kids instead of one running around so just imagine how things would be when their son arrived. Well like it or not he was coming soon and Tina knew that once and for all her life was complete yet again.
