    The day after and a day a few months down the road. Has Marina really changed that much?

    Marina awoke slowly. Her eyelids fluttered open as she felt fingers softly brushing through her hair.

    Good morning beautiful, Cecilia said as Marinas eyes focused on the face in front of her.

    Mmmmm good morning, she replied smiling contentedly.

    Actually its afternoon. Weve slept all day. Marina raised herself enough to look at the clock 3:37. Lowering her body back down to the bed, Marina snuggled in closer to Cecilia. Her body was slightly sore and stiff and she chuckled softly.

    I feel like Ive run a marathon, Marina said running her hand along the inside of Cecilias thigh. The woman shuddered lightly and wrapped her arms around Marinas waste in order to pull her on top of her.

    We could run another one if youre so inclined, Cecilia whispered kissing the top of Marinas disheveled head. Marina giggled. Was that a giggle? Cecilia questioned teasingly. Did the almost always stoic Marina Ferrer actually giggle? Cecilia questioned moving her hands to tickle Marina. This made the dark eyed woman giggle even more.

    Yes but dont tell anyone. Id hate for my reputation to suffer, Marina said starting to laugh harder. She moved her hands to push the tickling fingers away and winced in pain. Cecilia stopped the tickling immediately and looked at Marina with concern.

    Are you OK? Did I hurt you? she asked her eyes full of worry.

    Yes no Im fine its just a little sore, Marina responded moving her arm a little more in an attempt to stretch it.

    Then maybe that other marathon should wait a few days we have the rest of our lives you know. With those words, Marina pushed herself up and looked down lovingly at Cecilia.

    Ive never heard those words before and felt right with them, Marina said softly.

    And do you feel right with them now? Cecilia asked reaching her hands up to hold Marinas unruly hair from her face. Marina was silent for a moment as she studied Cecilias face and eyes. The love Cecilia felt for her was unmistakable in the blue depths.

    Yes but there are still a lot of things you dont know about me about my past, Marina trailed off and lowered her eyes to look at Cecilias throat.

    And you think those things will change the way I feel about you? Cecilia asked dipping her head to get Marina to look at her again.
