    HEREAFTER. Chapter 34. Conundrum

    As in the eye of the hurricane silence dominated the house, only a prelude for what was to come.

    Bette had stormed out to the back yard, wanting to be out of the way for when Tina leave, because she would leave that was for sure. She took another bottle from the bar with her, but didnt dare to sip it, she knew alcohol wouldnt bring any consolation, she still was reeling on what she had said, couldnt believe the way she had been, she was going straight to ***** that much she was sure, and ***** would be here on earth. The blue water of the pool, was a bit calming, calming her enough to finally let the tears fall, she slowly let herself fall on the lounge chair under the shade of the gazebo, the same one Candance had built with her own hands, they had made love many times in this place, it was candys favorite, memories flooded her mind, Bette didnt know anymore why she was crying.

    Hours later Tina ventured out the room in search of Bette, finding her in the back yard.

    Her hoarse voice resounded in the quiet and did nothing to mask her emotions Here you are…. clearing her throat she continue Is beautiful out here

    I thought you gone Bette said, the harshness out of her voice but the statement it self conveyed enough

    Yeah you almost made me, how you feeling? Tina asked

    Me? werent you the one I out lash against

    Am not the victim nor you the victimary, but I heard what you said beyond the words and I … guess that …. if you dont want me… I … cant force you to, but I need some answers to close this never-ending episode in my life or at least to end this day she added letting a cynic sneer, her calm wasnt really real, her hurt was.

    Bette closed her eyes, the restless sleep she got only left her more unsettle, she was exhausted, not at all prepare for the draining conversation this was set to be

    Can we talk about it some other time? she said attempting to stand up to walk away

    4. i could not believe when i finished this story and it said THE END. talk about a mood killer. i have looked forward to your writing everyday. i do hope that you decide to write more. i will miss this story though.

    9. This story is so beautiful. You have explained so well why Bette struggled so much to recommit to Tina. I had hoped they would get back together. Please consider writing a follow up where Bette finds the courage to go after Tina
