Bette hit the buttons of the alarm clock and snuggled back under the covers and next to Tina. Today was the day that they would be leaving to go on their wonderful vacation to Hawaii and although neither of them could wait, both were utterly exhausted from an evening full of love making the night before. As Bette drifted back to sleep, her mind wandered back to the events of the night before.

The previous night, both women had been packing for the trip that seemed would never comeTina had finished up her packing and had gone out of the room for what Bette had assumed was to make dinner for the evening. However, a half hour later, much to Bettes surprise and delight, Tina had come back in the room and told her to go outside by the pool with her. When Bette reached the French doors her eyes were wide as saucers, Tina had set up Tiki torches around the pool and had even bought some sand to place around the base of the table and chairs. Dinner was laid out on the table and soft instrumental Hawaiian music started to play over the outdoor speakers. Bette had turned around to see Tina wrapped in a pareau (sarong), and not much else, holding out a lei for Bette. That lei it seems was Tinas way of signaling to Bette that she wanted their little Hawaiian get away to start a little early and kick off with both women getting leid that evening. And from the look in Tinas eyes last night, getting laid once was just not an option.

Bette was startled out of her reminiscent dream by the loud rings of the phone. Fumbling around on the night stand she groggily answered,

Morning Porter! Man dont tell me you arent out of bed yet? Today is the big dayyou guys are leaving for Hawaii today!
Al? Gawd what time is it?
Its 5:30am.
WHAT?!
Yeah its 5:30am and its time that you two ***** rabbits get out of bed and get ready pronto! I was going to pick you up sooner so we could get coffee, but since you rabbits are running late, I guess Ill be there in 45 minutes to pick you up, but that means we dont have time to make any stops on the way to the airport.
What about coffee from the Planet?
Well sleepy head, since you two rabbits decided to sleep in you can grab Starbucks at the airportno stops remember. Now get your asses out of bed and get ready!
Alright.Geez! Im going, Im going. See you in a bit.

Bette rolled over to place the phone back on the nightstand and took a look at the clock herself, just to make sure that Alice wasnt messing with her. Seeing the time herself, Bette became upset with herself for obviously hitting the OFF button instead of SNOOZE.

T, wake up T! Were late!
Huh? But you only hit the snooze button a few minutes ago.
Ummmno I guess I turned it off instead and now you have to get up or were going to be late.
Bette! Why did you do that? Damn we better not miss our flight!
Ahem.Excuse me missybut I think it was you that wanted to kick off the Hawaiian vacation early with an all night lei fest.
Yeah, yeah. Well lets get a move on before we get to have NO Hawaiian get away.

Bette and Tina rushed around the house frantically trying to get ready before Alice arrived. As they were running around both women continued to playfully blame the other for their being late and having to rush around. Since it was the weekend, traffic would be lighter, but they still needed to leave soon, so that they would make their check in time.

Alice arrived in 45 minutes just as she had told Bette on the phone and helped to load both Bette and Tinas bags as her friends ran around the house making last minute checks and double checks to ensure that the had everything and that the house was secure.

All right you two rabbits. We need to hit the road pronto, or your vacation is gonna be spent here in LA, instead of on the beaches of Hawaii. Now get your two ***** like bunnies asses in here so that we can get this show on the road!

Traffic on the 405 wasnt too bad, but since they were leaving later than expected, they still needed to make up some time. Alice was driving like a maniac, weaving in and out of traffic, while both Bette and Tina hung on to whatever handles they could find in the Mini for dear life. After what seemed like a roller coaster ride from *****, Alice finally pulled up to the drop zone of LAX and quickly helped her friends unload their bags so that they could be on their way.

Thanks Al. Thanks for everything.
Not a problem. Not a problem. But the next time you two need to get to the airport early in the morning please promise me that you wont do the all night rabbit *****-a-thon.

Al, for the last time SHUT UP! Now like Tina said, well see you and everyone else out there in a few days. Okay T, now we really have to get going. That line looks rather long, and we need to check in. Bye Aldrive safely.

Grabbing their bags, Bette and Tina headed inside to check in. After standing in line for what seemed like and eternity and going through all the ridiculous security checks, both women, hand in hand, made their way through the terminal and to their gate.

Here we are babe. Gate 69. Appropriate dont you think? It must be a sign of the great vacation ahead of us. Gosh Im so excited! We just have to wait here for about and hour, then were just a five hour flight away from paradise.
Yup, I can tell that youre excited. You havent been able to stop talking about it the whole time we were walking here.
Hahaha.I know, but Im just sooooo excited to be going to Hawaii with you. And I just cant stop thinking of the fun and romance that we can have on each of the islands.
Gawd T, Im so tired, I cant understand how you can be so energized right now. I mean Im excited too, but man baby, you just wore me out last night. I think Im gonna go grab some coffee from Starbucks, would you like some?
Yeah, that would be great Bette. Hurry back okay?

Before leaving, Bette wrapped her arms around Tinas waist, pulling her into a warm and loving embrace. Leaning in she gently brushed her lips against Tinas, before parting her lips. The searing kiss left both women breathless and served as a reminder of the wonderful night of lovemaking they shared and of the many more to come on their getaway.

Tina sat down and tried her best to get comfortable in the waiting room chairs as she watched Bettes gorgeous body disappear into the crowd.

Bette quickly made her way down toward Starbucks and ordered two cups of coffee and two bagels. As she was leaving something on a stand in front of the next shop caught her eye. Stopping to take a closer look, she noticed that they were chocolate roses, wrapped in different types of colored foil, but the prettiest was wrapped in pink foil. Knowing that there were no real flower shops that she could go to at that moment, Bette went into the shop and bought a single pink chocolate rose to give to Tina. Perfect she thought to herself as she made her way back to the waiting area and to her beautiful wife.

Excuse me maam, I couldnt help but notice your stunning beauty.
Why thank youyou are so kind.
I wanted to give you something.

Placing the coffee and bagels on the seat next to her, Bette sits down and hands Tina the pink chocolate rose.

A beautiful flower, for a beautiful lady.
Awwww, you are just too sweet. You are just too kind, thank you again.
I wanted to find you a real flower, but even a real rose would pale in comparison to your beauty. I love you baby.

Sharing a sweet and loving kiss, their fingers intertwine as the kiss ends. Both women were gazing into the eyes of the other, looking into the window of their partners souls and seeing nothing but love reflected back.

The wait for the flight seemed to pass quickly as Bette and Tina partook of the coffee and bagels that Bette had retrieved from Starbucks. Conversation was light and flowed easily between the two women as they again talked about all the things that they could do on their trip. Before they knew it their flight number was called and they made their way to the line for first class boarding. Tina was practically jumping up and down with excitement, eager for their trip to begin, and eager to start the next chapter of her life with the woman of her dreamsBette.
