Caitlin quickly and quietly walked out of the locker room making sure Alice did not see her. She could not believe what had just happened. She was snapping pictures of the two women in the next row of lockers through the reflection of the mirror above the lockers when the cell phone in her pocket began to vibrate, startling her and causing her to jump and hit the lockers behind her. She knew she had to get out of there quickly before Dana or Alice saw her with a camera. She quickly put the camera in her bag and saw her chance to escape when Alice sat down with her back to the door. She slowed her pace down as she as she set foot out of the locker room. She angrily grabbed the phone out of her pocket. She was angry at the person for calling and angry at herself for getting startled. She looked at the phone’s screen to see who the missed call was from. She was annoyed, but not surprised to see who the caller was and decided to wait a bit longer to return the call. Caitlin had worked with this woman several times in the past as a private investigator; she did not consider her a friend, but rather an acquaintance. She did not particularly like the woman, she found her extremely annoying, a bit psychotic, and of course greedy as *****. Caitlin relied on her for business she was always a high payer. However, this case was different than all the others she had worked with her on. All of the cases she had helped with before were all about money extortion was Tonya’s thing, her specialty. This case had nothing to do with money, it was all about revenge. Tonya had told her the story of how Dana had broken off their engagement, cheated on her, and kicked her out. Caitlin understood Tonya’s anger, no one had ever done this to her before, she usually had the money and was out before they even knew what happened. This was different, Tonya was trying to get Dana back. She was paying Caitlin to harass Dana with phone calls to startle her, but not follow her. She was paid, instead, to follow Alice. Tonya had given her all the phone numbers and addresses she would need. Her assignment was to get compromising pictures of Alice, deliver them to an already frightened Dana. Tonya would suddenly show up and Dana would go right back to her. That’s how Tonya saw it anyway. Caitlin was having serious doubts, she had been following Alice for three days now and did not really have anything on her. A few hugs here and there, it could not be seen as anything more than a friendly hello or goodbye. There was also very little time that her and Dana were apart, she could tell that these two were in love. The way Alice ran to Dana’s side to protect her when Caitlin started calling last night showed their love even more. She moved forward with Tonya’s plan, she was not getting paid if she did not complete her job. She walked out into the parking lot and climbed into her black sedan and dialed Tonya back. ‘Oh great’ she thought to herself as got the voicemail. “It’s me, I’m working on it, I got them apart.” Caitlin said quickly then hung up the phone as she saw Dana driving off with someone in a truck and Alice walking over to her mini cooper. She followed Alice out of the parking lot from a safe distance hoping this was the break she had been waiting for. She needed to finish this job, Tonya was paying her a lot of money and God knew she was in desperate need. She would finish no matter what it took.
