Liz ran through the house with Sky right on her tail as she headed to answer the door. Bette and Tina needed a day off so Alice agreed to come over and baby-sit while Bette and Tina do their thing. Bette beat her two kids to the door and she opened it letting Alice in to greet a laughing Liz and Sky.

Hey munchkinhey Skyman youre getting big!!!

Sky just laughed at his aunty as she chased him around with Liz chasing her around. The three big kids, thought Bette as she watched them burn off some energy.

Hi Tina

Tina gave Alice a big smile as she came into the living room carrying her and Bettes jacket and a picnic basket. Tina and Bette decided to take a drive up PCH and just stop when they find either a nice beach or park to have a late lunch. As soon as she gave Alice some last minute instructions her and Bette headed out the door for their day off. As soon as they were gone Alice turned to the kids and smiled down at them.

So what do you want to do today guys?

Alice laughed at the two very different responses she got so she decided to do both.

Okay guyshow about thislets have a quick lunch then we can watch a movie or go play outside okay?

Alice got lunch, which consisted of Mac and cheese, ready and soon the three of them were seated at the table with Alice helping Sky eat while Liz devoured her food. As soon as they were done she got both kids cleaned up and herded them into the living room. She looked at their selection of kids videos and she gave them a choice.

Okay guysdo you want to watch Aladdin or Jungle Book?

She nodded okay and popped the movie in hoping that the kids would at least be entertained for half the movie if she were lucky. Within minutes both Liz and Sky were dancing around like Baloo and Liz was even singing along to a couple of the lines she knew and Sky was just laughing and imitating his sister in whatever she did. Alice took in the scene with a big smile on her face and she couldnt believe how much fun these two could have by themselves. Suddenly Liz ran out of the room and Alice almost ran after her but then she remembered she had to keep an eye on Sky so she called out to Liz instead.

LIZ WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Alice raised an eyebrow at this but didnt say anything. If Liz didnt reappear in a minute Alice would go in after her but she hoped she wouldnt have to. Suddenly Liz appeared holding Bob in her hands and Alice almost jumped out of her seat when Alice shoved him in her face.

Liz beamed and sat down talking softly to Bob holding on to him tightly and petting him. Sky went over and tried to take Bob from her but Liz shoved him back a little and held Bob away from him.

Sky tried to take Bob away again but Liz shoved him again and Alice could see this situation quickly escalating to an all out sibling slug fest so she jumped up and took Bob from Liz.

Okay guys lets put Bob away and how about we play a game

Liz and Sky looked at her in agreement so she quickly shoved Bob back in his cage and locked it tight. She quickly headed back out to the living room to make sure that Liz and Sky werent getting into any of the trouble that Bette and Tina had warned her they could get into. And she walked in just in time.

LIZ!!!

Liz was poised right above Sky and it looked like she was about to strangle him. Alice rushed over to see if Sky was alright but she stopped short when she saw that Sky was laughing and that Liz was just tickling him around the neck area. She breathed a huge sigh of relief and pulled Sky to his feet.

Okay guys how about we play hide and seek?

How?

Hide and seek is where one person counts to a number while the other person hides and then the person counting gets to go look for them. Wanna try?

Liz why dont you hide with him the first time to make sure he gets it okay?

One, two, three

Alice started counting while Liz squealed and pulled Sky with her as she went to try and find a good hiding spot. She stuck Sky in her closet while she ran and hid in the hall closet and when Alice was done she called out to them letting them know she was coming.

READY OR NOT HERE I COME!!!

She walked around the house making sure to make plenty of noise so she wouldnt scare them when she found them. She could hear Liz giggling in the hallway but she wanted to prolong the game so she pretended to look all over the place in search of Liz before going over to the closet.

Lizs giggles got louder as Alice pretended to have trouble finding her and Alice knew that she should probably find her soon. After a few more unlucky searches she opened the closet and found Liz giggling like crazy.

GOTCHA!!!

She tickled Liz who was squealing and making all kinds of noise and it took Alice a few minutes to realize Sky wasnt with her. She turned to Liz.

Hey wheres Sky?

Alice raised her eyebrows at Liz but proceeded to look for him, this time seriously looking for him. She looked in Lizs room and under her bed but when she opened her closet Liz started laughing like crazy. That was until they discovered Sky wasnt there. Liz looked panicked.

SKY?

Alice looked at Liz with an angry expression on her face.

Liz where is he?

I left him in here auntyI promise

She grabbed her hand and made her follow her all over. The searched and searched all over but couldnt find him and with each unlucky place they went to Alices anticipation grew. She knew Bette and Tina would be home in a few hours and telling them that she almost lost their son wouldnt be the greatest thing for a godmother to do. She was getting really worried until Liz cried out

AUNTY!!!

Alice ran over to where Liz was and she felt her heart skip a beat. Sky was fast asleep on the floor of Bettes closet and Alice could have strangled him for making her worry so much. She picked him up and put him on the bed to let him rest while she took Liz back outside. After making sure he was tucked in nicely she turned and smiled at Liz.

Hey munchkindont tell mommy about us having to find your brother okay?

Alice smiled and winked at Liz as she followed her back in front of the TV to finish their movie and wait for Bette and Tina to get home. An hour or so later the two mommies came home and when they walked in the house they greeted Alice and Liz with big smiles and Bette put and arm around Alice.

Thanks again Al. So how were they?

GreatSky is sleeping and Liz was a big help. A very good big sister

Tina said she was going to check on Sky and Bette thanked Alice again for watching them as she walked Alice out to her car. Alice drove away thinking she had avoided a close one but she also knew that from now on no more hide and seek until Sky was at least Lizs age, if not older. One thing was for sure, that kid may not be able to seek, but he can sure hide.
