Bette and Tina were on the bed, watching late night TV shows.

Bette, I need to go to London to meet with a couple of producers for this movie and Ill be leaving in 2 days Tina said, lying down beside Bette with Bette’s arm around her.

How long will you be gone? Bette asked Tina, moving closer to Tina to kiss her.

Bette don’t Tina said pushing Bette away.

What’s wrong? Do I have bad breath? I thought I just brushed my teeth a while ago Bette said, smelling her own breath. Tina just looked at Bette.

Ok, tell me what is bothering you Bette asked Tina, holding her hand for encouragement.

Bette, um Tina started and looked down at her hand intertwined with Bette’s. I’m scared to leave

Oh then don’t go. Have someone else to take your place and besides, I don’t want you to leave Bette said, leaning closer to Tina and placing her head on Tina’s neck.

I’m not scared of leaving per se but of leaving you Tina said, taking a deep breath.

I don’t understand Bette said, looking up at Tina.

Remember when I left with the gang for Palm Springs? Tina asked, looking at Bette.

Yes Bette remembered everything that happened and it dawned to her that Tina doesn’t trust her up to now. Bette sat up, feeling uncomfortable of the subject.

It’s ok. I just didn’t think I mean I thought that with how everything’s going between the two of us, you’ve started to trust me again but I guess not. Bette said

I do trust you, Bette but– Tina started but was cut off by Bette.

T, tell me what I can do to make you trust me completely again. How about if I go with you? Bette asked.

You don’t have to go with me, sweetie. I trust you. It just brought back memories. I’m sorry it sounds ridiculous.

T, if you say you trust me, then don’t doubt me. I don’t know how I can assure you this but I love you. I know I made a mistake before but I can’t do anything to remove that from our past. Right now– Bette was cut off by Tina.
