    Bette Finally Makes a Decision
    (A B&T Beginning Set on a College Campus)

    Bette began to relay her horrible day and the horrible experiences to come, conveniently leaving out the personal details involved with Tina. As she divulged her problems, she felt immediately better, lighter, freer. Sidney was attentive to her troubles and offered sympathy, wisdom, and the comfort Bette so desperately craved. Sooner than she would have liked, her grandmother called her to dinner and Bette was forced to end her call to Sidney. However, after the two young women exchanged I love Yous and Bette headed back into the 6th level of *****, she was able to walk a little taller and stand a little straighter. When her family made insulting remarks or started to give her trouble, she was able to recall Classic Bette Porter and dismiss them with class and grace.

    And that evening, as Bette finally crawled into bed, she felt a little better about her relationship with Sidney as the cold nuggets of resentment toward Tina continued to roll around in her weary heart and begin to fester.

    On Sunday evening, Bette walked into her dorm room in Hedrick Hall, a huge grin plastered on her caramel-colored face. Today was the day and she had been looking forward to it for the last 48 hours. Tina was still at home in San Francisco. It had turned out that Tinas doctor couldnt see her on Friday, but was able to fit her in on Monday morning. So, Tina was going to change her ticket and fly back on Monday evening. That meant Bette would have the room to herself and shed decided it was finally time to take things to the next level with Sidney Davis.

    After coming to terms with the resentment shed felt towards Tina, Bette decided to stop acting so selfish and return the love of the beautiful woman that she knew loved her. Tina was going through a lot right now and Bette knew that her best friend needed her friendship right now; not her romantic inklings. On the other hand, Sidney was offering her everything shed ever wanted. Sidney was her strength when she was weak, her quiet in the storm, her voice of calm and reason in the midst of unfathomable chaos. Bette was tired of living with all of the confusion in her life and had decided to just make a decision. She wanted to be with Sidney and she wanted to bring their relationship full circle.

    2. I have loved this story from the very first chapter. I feel bad for Bette, but I was so happy that she said ‘Tina’. I can only hope our favorite couple will be reunited soon. Keep writing, this story is one of the best i’ve read.

    15. It would seem the primary lesson Bette will unwittingly walk away with from her attempts to not behave like her mother is that she became her father. She let pride dictate her heart. One can’t help whom one falls in love with, but we can prevent hurting others by being honest with them. Nicely done!

When she yelled out Tina’s name I totally gasped and then burst out laughing!(that was probably mean of me but I couldn’t help it) I did feel bad for Sidney, that’s a really shitty situation. . .but I’m over it.     34. Dude… when I read Tina’s name my heart stopped. I mean Hallmark just make cards for that kind of mistake. Ouch poor Sidney. It is a testimony to your writing that I really feel bad for Sidney, you have created full and rich characters. Great job.
